Filed 2/3 but transcript shows not filed - Can refund come before transcript updates?
Filed on Feb 3rd but my transcript still shows as not filed. Getting worried since its already been a few weeks. Anyone know if theres a chance I could get my refund before the transcript even updates? My cycle code changes every year (was 05 last year) so im not sure if that means anything.

The IRS operates on batch processing cycles. While it's technically possible to receive a refund before transcript updates, it's extremely rare. Your changing cycle codes aren't unusual - they reflect different processing batches. Right now, the IRS is dealing with massive backlogs, so seeing no updates for a few weeks is unfortunately normal.

Word of advice: sign up for informed delivery with USPS. Sometimes youll see your refund check coming before WMR or transcripts update
