Filed Feb 11th - Still Showing "Return Received" with Tax Topic 152, Head of Household - Blank Transcript and No Progress on IRS2Go App

I filed my taxes on February 11th and when I check the Where's My Refund tool, it's showing "Return Received" status with Tax Topic 152. When I check the IRS2Go app, it shows my return is in the first stage of "Received" - not yet at the Approved or Sent stages. Here's exactly what I'm seeing on the IRS2Go app: Refund Status Return Received ✓ Refund Approved (not checked yet) Refund Sent (not checked yet) The message on the screen reads: "We have received your tax return and it is being processed. If you filed a complete and accurate tax return, your refund should be issued within 21 days of the received date. However, processing may take longer under certain circumstances. Please check here or visit the Refunds page on IRS.gov, to check on your refund status." Below that, it says: "Please read the following information related to your tax situation: Tax Topic 152, Refund Information" My filing status is Head of Household, which is correctly displayed in the IRS2Go app. My transcript is completely blank right now. I haven't received any letters requesting verification or additional information. The IRS2Go app just shows those three stages (Received, Approved, Sent) with only the first one checked off. Is this normal to still be in the "Return Received" stage? Should I be concerned about the blank transcript and Tax Topic 152 message? Does this mean there's a problem with my return or is this standard processing language? I'm getting anxious since it's been a while since I filed.

The IRS2Go app shows your return is currently in the first "Received" stage of the three-step refund process (Received → Approved → Sent). The standard processing message and Tax Topic 152 reference are completely normal at this phase. Your Head of Household filing status is properly reflected in the system. The app's status indicator confirms the IRS has your return but hasn't yet moved it to approval or payment stages. The 21-day processing timeline mentioned in the message is the standard window for uncomplicated returns, starting from your February 10th filing date. That puts your expected completion around March 2nd, assuming no special review is needed. Tax Topic 152 simply indicates you're eligible for a refund - it's not a delay code or cause for concern. The blank transcript is also typical this early in processing, as transcript updates usually lag 1-2 weeks behind filing. The IRS is processing returns efficiently this season, so unless you receive a specific notice requesting additional information, your return appears to be progressing normally through the system. The IRS2Go app's suggestion to check the Refunds page on IRS.gov is their standard guidance for tracking updates, which typically occur overnight during processing.
