Filed 2/1 - EIC with Venmo Direct Deposit - Still Processing (South Carolina)
Filed early February with H&R Block, claimed EIC and setup direct deposit through Venmo. Been over a month and transcript still shows processing. Anyone else waiting with similar situation? Really need this money to catch up on bills.

Tax professional here. EIC claims typically take longer to process due to additional verification requirements. The IRS is particularly careful with these returns to prevent fraud. Also, using Venmo for direct deposit might cause delays as it's a newer payment platform for tax refunds. I'd recommend checking your transcript weekly for updates.

•Usually 21 days but can take up to 8 weeks if selected for review. With Venmo might be longer tho 🤷♀️

Word of advice - never use these fintech apps for tax refunds. Traditional bank accounts are way more reliable. learned that the hard way last year 💀
