Filed my taxes and wondering if anyone using Cash App, Chime, or Credit Karma actually gets their refund deposited earlier than traditional banks? Keep hearing different things and want to know what to expect.

Most online banks like Chime and Cash App can release funds up to 2 days earlier than traditional banks once the IRS sends the deposit. However, this doesn't speed up IRS processing time - it only affects the final deposit timing once IRS releases the money.

Been using Chime for my refunds for 3 years now and can confirm I usually get it 1-2 days early. The key thing is that it depends on when the IRS actually processes and releases your refund - the early deposit just means you get it faster once it's sent out. So if there are any delays on the IRS side, you'll still have to wait regardless of which bank you use.
