It’s a just general tax topic code telling you your tax return. https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc152 At this process, you don’t need to do anything. If 21 days without any update, you may need to call what’s hold up to fix. $5 discount link for first call and choose   https://join.claimyr.com/49a083

Tax topic 153 is a general code that means your is still being processed. You should see some movement soon, it’s nothing to worry about. Let us know when you get an update. If you will post your here we could all look into it and see if you have any holding up your return. We have several very knowledgeable members and even tax professionals here on the Claimyr community.

Yes, this means you are going to get a refund. Has it been more than 21 days since you received this update? If so, I recommend calling the to see if they can explain what the hold up is. Claimyr is absolutely the fastest way to do that.

I think claimyr has been a lifesaver for all of us at this point. I waited on hold for more than 4 hours last week to be disconnected as soon as the answered. It was frustrating but thankfully i found this website. I’m amazed.

As a tax pro it’s made my life so much easier. Juggling different clients is a struggle with 3 hour wait times to speak to an agent. With Claimyr I can speak to them 5-10 times in one day. We’ve all needed this for YEARS.

I agree with everyone here, I would say go ahead and call just to be sure they don’t need any further from you. This code is absolutely normal.

When my daughter had that it took around two weeks before her processed and she received her a few days after that. Be sure to look for an 846 code on your tax transcripts. If you haven’t checked those yet I recommend doing that. You can find them here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

I’ve seen hundreds of instances of this on here this year. It’s normal, it just makes everyone a little uneasy. Don’t stress, I’m sure it will be completed soon. It always helps to speak with an to ease my worries, they normally tell us if we have anything to worry about. Hoping for a speedy my friend. 🤞

It means the hasn’t approved or rejected your refund, its just in line to be processed. I had this for around a month before mine FINALLY processed.
