Do I need to complete filing to get approved for tax refund advance loan?

Anyone know if I need to complete filing my taxes all the way through to see if Im approved for a tax refund advance loan? Or do they check eligibility first? Really need the money asap and don't wanna waste time if I'm not gonna get approved anyway.

Tax professional here - you typically need to complete your return first. Most advance loan providers need to see your expected refund amount and verify all your information before they can determine eligibility. They'll run a soft credit check too in most cases.

ugh that's what I was afraid of 😩 do you know how long the approval usually takes after filing?

Usually 24-48 hours for most lenders to make a decision after you submit everything

Hey just wanted to mention - instead of guessing about eligibility, you should try taxr.ai. It costs $4.99 but it'll analyze everything and tell you exactly what you qualify for, including advance loans. Super helpful tool https://taxr.ai

I'm in the same boat rn. H&R Block made me do the whole return b4 telling me I wasn't eligible smh 🤦‍♀️

Jackson Hewitt let me check eligibility first but their advances are super small compared to others tbh

only like $500-1000 depending on ur refund size

Been there done that its a pain. Most places want the full return done first cause they base the loan amount on your expected refund. Kinda makes sense but still annoying af
