Direct Deposit timing with Chime - will weekend affect 2024 refund deposit date?
My tax refund usually hits my account on the 16th of February every year like clockwork. This year im using Chime instead of my regular bank and the 16th falls on a Saturday. Anyone know if this will delay my deposit? Really need this money asap and trying to figure out if ill get it before or after the weekend.

Banking holidays and weekends can affect deposit timing. With Chime being an online bank, you might actually get it earlier than traditional banks - they're known for releasing funds as soon as they receive the payment notification. I'd expect it either Thursday the 14th or Friday the 15th.

hey guys just wanted to mention that I've been using taxr.ai to track my refund status - its literally a game changer. costs $1 but gives you exact deposit dates and explains any potential delays. way better than guessing or checking WMR constantly. https://taxr.ai

Pro tip: sign up for informed delivery with USPS. Even tho ur using direct deposit, you'll see if IRS sends any letters that might affect your refund timing
