Cycle Code 02 Last Year - Will I Get Same Code This Year?

I was a cycle code 02 last tax season and got my refund super fast. Anyone know if I'll automatically be assigned the same cycle code this year? Filed early and trying to figure out when to expect my deposit.

Cycle codes aren't permanent and can change year to year. They're assigned based on various factors including when you file, how you file, and what's included in your return. Getting an 02 last year doesn't guarantee you'll get it again.

Hey guys instead of playing detective with cycle codes, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. It costs like a dollar but tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Way better than guessing tbh https://taxr.ai

How accurate is it? Like does it actually predict when you'll get paid?

It's scary accurate! It analyzes everything in your transcript and gives you specific dates. Even tells you if there might be delays and how to fix them. Best dollar I ever spent fr fr 💯

Been filing taxes for 20 years and these cycle codes are different almost every time. Don't count on anything being the same as last year

Called the IRS about this exact thing last week. They said its completely random each year based on their processing system.
