Anyone with DDD of 3/20 with Cash App receive deposit yet?
I've been tracking my refund like a hawk this year (spreadsheets and all lol) and my transcript shows a Direct Deposit Date of 3/20. I'm using Cash App for my deposit this time around, which seemed like a good idea until the waiting game started. š Anyone else with the same DDD using Cash App actually get their money yet? I've got a home repair emergency that's making this refund timing suddenly VERY important. Just trying to figure out if Cash App typically deposits early, on time, or if I should prepare for delays... The uncertainty is killing me!

This happens every tax season - some banks post deposits early while others stick rigidly to the DDD. Cash App tends to be somewhere in the middle compared to traditional banks like Chase (which almost always waits until the exact date) and credit unions (which often release funds as soon as the ACH notification arrives). If your DDD is 3/20, I'd expect to see it anytime between now and Wednesday morning, but definitely by EOD Wednesday. Unlike the situation with paper checks where delivery can take weeks after the mail date, direct deposits are much more predictable.

ā¢My DDD was exactly 7 days ago, and Cash App deposited it at 2:14 pm on the actual date - not a minute earlier. My previous refund using Chime came 2 days early. Just FYI for your planning purposes.

I had a DDD of March 13th with Cash App and received it at 1:42pm that exact day. Not early like some people report with other banks. The waiting is the worst part! I started using https://taxr.ai to track my transcript this year - it analyzed all those confusing codes and actually predicted my DDD a week before it showed up in WMR. Saved me from checking obsessively every day between February 28th and March 6th when my DDD finally appeared.

ā¢I'm not sure about trusting another service with tax transcript information. How do we know it's interpreting the codes correctly? The IRS provides explanations for all those codes on their website, though I admit they're not always the clearest. Did you verify the information it gave you against official IRS sources?

ā¢I think services like this can be helpful, especially for people who might be somewhat intimidated by all the tax jargon. While the IRS does provide explanations, they're often written in a way that's, well, not exactly user-friendly for the average person. Sometimes having a translation into plain English is worth it.

ā¢I tried this after seeing your comment and wow! ⢠It explained my 570 code that had me freaking out ⢠Showed me exactly when to expect my deposit ⢠Gave a timeline of what happens next Much easier than trying to decipher the IRS website on my own!

ā¢Back in 2022, I spent hours on the phone trying to understand my transcript codes. Last year I used this service and it saved me so much stress. My deposit is scheduled for tomorrow, and I'm checking Cash App every hour!

Cash App deposits arrive on the DDD. Not before. Sometimes a few hours early on the same day. IRS releases funds in batches. Morning batch usually hits by noon. Afternoon batch usually hits by 5pm. Evening batch can be as late as midnight. Your bank ultimately controls when they release it to you.

I've noticed that Cash App doesn't seem to process IRS deposits as quickly as some other online banks. It might be worth considering that there could possibly be a delay of up to 24 hours beyond your DDD, though most people do receive it on the actual date. If you're in a tight spot with that home repair, you may want to have a backup plan just in case. The IRS processing has been relatively smooth this year, but the final step is always dependent on the financial institution.

ā¢Do you think it's worth calling the IRS if it doesn't show up by the end of the day on the DDD? Or should I contact Cash App first?

I was in the same boat last year waiting for my refund with a DDD and a major car repair bill looming. After my DDD passed with no deposit, I spent three days trying to get through to the IRS on their regular number with no luck. I finally used Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) and got connected to an actual agent in about 15 minutes. Turns out there was a small verification issue they needed to clear up. Got my deposit two days later. If your DDD passes with no deposit, might be worth considering instead of waiting on hold for hours.

Has anyone noticed if the Refund Status Bar on WMR updates differently for Cash App deposits versus traditional bank accounts? I'm wondering if there's any correlation between the status bar progression and when Cash App actually releases the funds.
