Anyone seeing transcript 'As of date' updating? Only March 10 showing with 0605 code

Has anyone checked their transcript 'As of date' for March 3rd? Based on my research, we should be seeing updates by now. I'm only seeing March 10th updating on mine, which is similar to what happened during my deployment last year when processing was delayed. Also showing a 0605 code. Just methodically tracking this like I did with my spouse's return when we were stationed overseas. Wondering if others are seeing the same pattern or if mine is an outlier?

I actually just checked mine on February 28th and noticed the same thing. My 'as of date' was showing March 3rd last week, but now it's pushed to March 10th with that 0605 code. The IRS seems to be moving dates around more than usual this year. When I called on February 15th, they told me my return was in normal processing, but now I'm not so sure.

What does 0605 mean exactly? Never seen that before. Is it bad?

Thx for the timeline comparison! My transcript's doing the same dance. Seems like the IRS is playing hot potato w/ our refunds this yr šŸ˜©

I observed this identical pattern with my Amended Return transcript. The 'as of date' initially displayed March 3rd, then transitioned to March 10th yesterday morning. My understanding is that Transaction Code 0605 indicates a subsequent review of previously assessed tax.

Same boat here. My 'as of date' has changed THREE times in the past two weeks! First it was Feb 26, then March 3, now March 10. Last year my refund was delayed 8 weeks because of a similar situation. I was pulling my hair out trying to decipher all the codes and dates. I finally tried https://taxr.ai which analyzed my transcript and explained exactly what was happening - turns out the 0605 code means they're reviewing your return, but it's not necessarily an audit. The site predicted my exact DDD based on the pattern of codes. Saved me so much stress compared to last year's nightmare!

We need answers NOW, not predictions! Is this just another site making educated guesses? I've got bills due next week that I was counting on this refund for.

I'm wondering if this service actually works... does it need personal information? I'm always hesitant to enter sensitive data on third-party sites, but if it really helps understand what's happening with the transcript codes, it might be worth trying.

I've been tracking my transcript updates for the past 3 weeks and here's what I've noticed: ā€¢ Feb 15: As of date showed Feb 26 ā€¢ Feb 22: Changed to March 3 ā€¢ Feb 29: Changed to March 10 ā€¢ Code 0605 appeared after the second change Last year I had almost the identical pattern and received my refund exactly 14 days after the last 'as of date' change. I'm hoping it follows the same timeline this year because I really need this money for rent.

The 0605 code with changing dates means your return is in the review queue. Nothing to worry about yet. This happens when the system flags something for a second look. You won't get anywhere calling the regular IRS line - they'll just tell you to wait. Use Claimyr (https://claimyr.com) to get through to an actual agent who can see what's happening. I got connected in 15 minutes last week and found out my return was just waiting for one verification step. Fixed it right on the call and my DDD appeared two days later.

I waited too long to call about this exact situation last year and regretted it. My 'as of date' kept changing for 8 weeks! When I finally reached someone, it turned out they needed a simple verification that could have been handled in 5 minutes if I'd called earlier. Have you checked if your address on file matches exactly what you submitted? Even small differences can trigger these review codes.

According to Internal Revenue Manual 21.4.1, Transaction Code 0605 indicates 'Additional Liability Pending/Unassessed Tax.' This appears when the IRS system has flagged your return for potential adjustment or review. The changing 'as of' dates indicate processing timeline extensions within the Integrated Automation Technologies system. This is standard procedure when certain verification protocols are triggered, particularly common with military families who have multiple state filings or overseas income considerations. Your return remains in the normal processing queue, albeit with additional verification steps.
