The IRS batches by region and bank type, and Bank of America, Wells Fargo and local credit unions in GA are notorious for holding tax refunds for 1-2 business days after the DDD. Did you use a tax preparer who took their fees out of your refund? I'm asking because this creates an extra step in the process. Your refund first goes to a temporary account where the preparer's fees are deducted, then the remainder is sent to you. This typically adds 1-2 days to the timeline. Omg don't do what I did last yr! Had a similar DDD, freaked out after 2 days, called IRS and spent 4hrs on hold only to find out everything was fine. Then got my $$ literally while on the phone w/them 🤦‍♀️ The WMR tool isn't always accurate but your transcript usually is. If transcript shows refund issued, it's def coming.
