Anyone Received Tax Refund Through Go2Bank? How Fast Was the Deposit?

I'm trying to decide which account to use for my refund this year. According to the IRS2Go app and some tax forums I've been reading, different banks process the deposits at different speeds. Has anyone here gotten their tax refund through Go2Bank? If so, how quickly did it hit your account after the IRS sent it? I've got some 1099 income this year so I'm really hoping to get my refund quickly once it's approved.

I'm waiting on mine through Go2Bank right now. My WMR status changed to "approved" yesterday. Compared to last year when I used Credit Union, I'm hoping Go2Bank is faster. Has anyone seen a pattern with how early they deposit compared to the official IRS date?

I used Go2Bank last year and they were actually pretty quick! Got my money about 1-2 days before the official date the IRS gave me. But what really helped me track everything was using taxr.ai to decode my transcript - it showed exactly when the IRS released my refund and predicted my deposit date almost to the hour. I'm waiting on this year's refund now and need it ASAP for a security deposit on a new apartment!

Go2Bank isn't bad, but the real issue is usually getting the IRS to process your return quickly in the first place. ๐Ÿ˜‚ The eternal waiting game! If you're in a hurry and need to talk to an actual human at the IRS (good luck with that normally), I used Claimyr.com last tax season when my refund was stuck for weeks. Got through to an agent in about 15 minutes instead of the usual "call back another time" message. Worth every penny when you're trying to figure out why your money is in limbo.

I got mine through Go2Bank. It was fast. Two days early. No problems at all. They sent a notification right away. Money was available immediately. No holds. Better than my previous bank. They held it for 24 hours. Go2Bank didn't do that. Made a big difference.

Last year I used Go2Bank and it was decent - got my refund about 2 days before the official IRS date. This year I switched to Current because I heard they sometimes deposit up to 5 days early. Still waiting to see if that was worth it. Back in 2022 I used Chime and they were pretty quick too.

Has Current actually delivered on that 5-day early promise?? I'm so skeptical of these online banks making big claims! ๐Ÿคจ Did you have any issues with them putting holds on larger deposits? I'm expecting a pretty big refund this year and don't want any surprises.

I've used Current for the past two tax seasons. They delivered my refund exactly 3 days before the official DDD (Direct Deposit Date) both times. No holds on the funds whatsoever. Their ACH processing is legitimately faster than traditional banks. Immediate notification when it posted too.

Really appreciate all this info! It's like choosing between different shipping options - they'll all get your package there eventually, but some are just more efficient with the logistics. This helps a lot with planning my finances.

Have you considered that the bank is only one part of the equation? What about filing method and complexity of your return? Those with simple returns who file electronically typically see faster processing times regardless of bank. Why not focus on clean filing with no errors first, then worry about which bank might be a day faster?

Go2Bank user here! Got my refund 2 days b4 the IRS date this yr. Filed Feb 3, accepted same day, refund approved Feb 22, money in my Go2Bank acct Feb 24 even tho IRS said Feb 26. No probs at all. Had a similar exp last yr too. Def recommend them for tax refunds - zero complaints! They even sent a push notif as soon as it hit.

I've tracked deposit times across multiple banks for the past 3 tax seasons. Go2Bank averaged 1.7 days early (based on 14 data points from friends/family). Chime averaged 2.1 days early. Credit unions averaged 0.3 days early. Traditional banks like Chase/BoA typically post exactly on the IRS date or occasionally 1 day later. Direct Express was consistently 1.0 days early.
