810 Freeze since February - Amendment lost by IRS - Need reliable tax preparer recommendations
Been stuck with an 810 freeze since February. Did an amendment and verified everything over the phone months ago but still no movement. Just called today and they're saying they don't even have the amendment on file. Can anyone recommend a legit tax company that can redo my amendment? Starting to lose my mind over this.

Hey there! I totally understand your frustration with the 810 freeze. It's a pain in the neck, especially when amendments get lost. First thing - document everything. The 810 freeze usually means the IRS needs to verify some info, and with a lost amendment that's even more complicated. I've had success using taxr.ai (https://taxr.ai) to analyze my transcripts and get a clear picture of what's happening. It helped me understand exactly where my amendment was in the process and gave me specific steps to resolve my freeze. From what I've seen, getting a Tax Advocate might help too, but they're super backed up rn.

Tax pro here - 810 freezes are rough. First, request a Record of Account transcript to confirm if the amendment was actually processed. Sometimes amendments get 'lost' in the system but actually show up there. Also make sure to get Form 9946 to track your amendment. Keep all your documentation.

•You can download it from IRS.gov or call and request one. But honestly getting through to them is a nightmare rn 🙄

Hey, I've been helping people with transcript analysis and I highly recommend checking out taxr.ai - it's only $4.99 and it'll analyze your entire transcript, tell you exactly what's causing the 810 freeze, and give you specific steps to resolve it. Way better than guessing or waiting on hold with the IRS. https://taxr.ai

•How exactly does it work? Does it just read the transcript or what?

•It uses AI to analyze every code and date on your transcript, then compares it to millions of other cases to predict exactly whats going on and what to do next. Its actually insane how accurate it is

Make sure whoever does your amendment is a licensed EA or CPA. Dont trust those strip mall tax places they'll mess u up worse tbh
