2024 Tax Season: Early Filers Getting Accepted Before Jan 27th?
I filed my taxes yesterday with TurboTax and got accepted already. But I thought IRS wasn't accepting returns until January 27th? Are they picking and choosing who gets accepted early or what? Anyone else get accepted before the official start date?

Tax pro here - the IRS is doing a soft launch this year. Some returns are being accepted early as part of their systems testing. This doesn't mean faster processing though, they'll still start processing everything on the 29th.

Exactly. Early acceptance just means your return passed initial validation. Processing starts same time for everyone.
