2023 Return Accepted w/ IP PIN - Will I Need Identity Verification Again?
I filed my taxes through TurboTax on Jan 17th and got accepted Jan 22nd. Last year I had to verify my identity which delayed my refund for months. This year I have an IP PIN - since I'm already accepted does this mean I can skip the verification process this time?

Tax pro here - the IP PIN actually helps prevent the identity verification hassle. Since you already went through verification last year and now have an IP PIN, you shouldn't need to verify again. The PIN is basically your proof of identity for future returns.

•You can request one through IRS.gov - just search 'Get IP PIN' on their site. Or if you got delayed last year for identity verification, they might assign you one automatically
