When do DEO deposits hit bank accounts? Timing question for Florida UI payments

Has anyone figured out what time of day Florida DEO typically deposits unemployment benefits? I've been waiting for my payment since it switched to 'processed' yesterday. My first payment is supposed to come tomorrow (according to CONNECT) but I'm wondering if they deposit at midnight, early morning, or randomly throughout the day? Trying to time when to pay some urgent bills and need to know when I should expect the money to actually be in my account. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

its random imo. sometimes mine hits at like 2am other times not till late afternoon. depends on ur bank too. my credit union usually shows it earlier than my friend who has wells fargo

Thanks for the info! I'm with Chase so who knows how they handle it. Guess I'll just keep checking my account throughout the day.

In my experience, DEO processes payments Monday-Friday (excluding holidays). Most direct deposits hit accounts between 1-5am the next business day after processing, but this can vary by bank. Some banks (especially credit unions) post pending deposits early, while others won't show anything until fully cleared. If your CONNECT shows 'processed' status yesterday, you should see it in your account sometime tomorrow morning in most cases. First payments sometimes take an extra day compared to subsequent ones.

This is mostly right but I've noticed they're doing batch processing now. If your claim gets processed in the morning batch, you'll see it next day. If it's in the afternoon batch, it's usually 2 days later. My payments always hit at exactly 3:17am which is weird but consistent lol

0 coins

mine ALWAYS comes at exactly 12:01 am on wednesdays no matter what day i claimed my weeks. wierd huh?

0 coins

That's because Wednesday is when DEO does the main payment batch for regular UI. PUA used to be Tuesdays when that was still around. If your claim is on a set schedule, it's usually because you're in a specific payment group based on the last digit of your claimant ID number.

THE DEO IS PURPOSELY DELAYING PAYMENTS!!! I was told by an agent they hold them for "review" even after they show processed. Mine have been coming 3-4 DAYS after showing processed. This is just another tactic to make people give up on claiming benefits they EARNED!!! Anyone else notice this lately???

0 coins

I haven't experienced this. My payments have been consistent - when CONNECT shows processed, I get the deposit next business day around 3am. Maybe what you're experiencing is related to a hold or issue on your specific claim? Did the agent mention why yours was under review?

If you need to talk with a DEO agent about your payment timing or any issues with your deposit, I'd recommend using Claimyr. I spent days trying to get through on the regular DEO phone lines with no luck. Claimyr got me connected to an agent in about 18 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj and their website is claimyr.com. The agent was able to tell me exactly when my payment was scheduled to deposit and why it wasn't showing yet.

Thanks for the suggestion! If my payment doesn't show up tomorrow I'll definitely check that out. Been trying to call DEO for days but keep getting disconnected after waiting on hold forever.

0 coins

does that actually work??? i thought it was a scam

0 coins

It definitely worked for me. Not a scam - they just help you get through the phone system. The agent I spoke with was a regular DEO employee who helped sort out why my payment was delayed.

One more thing to check - make sure your direct deposit information is correct in CONNECT. If there are any errors, your payment could be returned and that will cause significant delays. Also, for your first payment, DEO sometimes issues it on the Way2Go debit card even if you selected direct deposit. It's a weird quirk in their system that they never explain to claimants.

0 coins

Oh wow, I didn't know about the Way2Go card thing. I definitely signed up for direct deposit. How would I know if they sent it to a card instead? Do they mail the card automatically?

0 coins

Yes, they mail the Way2Go card automatically to everyone. If your payment went to the card instead of direct deposit, you'll see "Way2Go Card" listed as the payment method in CONNECT rather than "Direct Deposit". The card typically arrives 7-10 business days after they send your first payment to it.

Last year when I was claiming, my first payment was delayed because of the ID.me verification system. Even though I completed verification, the system didn't update my claim status automatically. I had to call DEO (which took FOREVER to get through) to have them manually update my claim to show I'd completed verification. After that, my payments arrived consistently around 3am the day after processing.

0 coins

I already did the ID.me verification and it shows completed in my account, so hopefully that's not the issue. My status shows I'm eligible and the payment is processed, just waiting for it to hit my account now.

When I was on unemployment last month, I noticed there was a pattern to the deposits. If your payment shows as processed on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday before 3pm, it usually hits your account the next morning between 1-4am. If it processes Thursday or Friday, you might not see it until Monday morning because of weekend processing delays. If you're waiting on your first payment, it's common for it to take 1-2 days longer than subsequent payments. The DEO system seems to put additional verification holds on first payments that they don't tell you about.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Mine showed processed on Tuesday afternoon, so based on what you're saying, I should hopefully see it tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!

my sisyer had this same issue. she kept waiting for direcr deposit but they sent her first payment to the way2go card without tellibg her! check if yours did that too

0 coins

I'll definitely check that in my CONNECT account. Thanks for the warning about this!

btw if ur payment is late u can also try messaging them on facebook! sounds weird but i got a response in like 2 hours when i did that and they fixed my payment issue

THEY NEVER RESPOND TO ME ON FACEBOOK!! I've sent 6 messages and nothing. The whole system is designed to make us give up!!!!

maybe try twitter then? idk worked for me 🤷‍♀️

Just went through this same situation last month! In my experience, DEO typically processes payments in batches throughout the day, but the actual deposit timing depends heavily on your bank. Most people see deposits hit between 12:01 AM and 6:00 AM the business day after it shows "processed" in CONNECT. Since yours switched to processed yesterday, you should definitely see it tomorrow morning if you're with a major bank like Chase. One thing to watch out for though - sometimes first payments get automatically sent to the Way2Go debit card even if you selected direct deposit. Check your payment method in CONNECT to make sure it still shows "Direct Deposit" and not "Way2Go Card". If it doesn't show up by tomorrow afternoon, definitely try calling or use one of the callback services people mentioned. First payments can sometimes have additional holds that aren't visible to us. Good luck!

0 coins

This is super helpful, thank you! I just double-checked my CONNECT account and it still shows "Direct Deposit" as the payment method, so that's a relief. I was worried they might have switched it to the Way2Go card without telling me. Hopefully I'll see the deposit hit my Chase account tomorrow morning like you said. It's nerve-wracking waiting for that first payment when you have bills due!

I've been dealing with this for months now and here's what I've learned: DEO usually processes payments Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm, but the actual deposit timing is totally up to your bank. Most major banks like Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America post DEO deposits between 2-4am the next business day. Credit unions tend to be faster and sometimes show it the same day. For first payments specifically, there's often an extra 24-48 hour delay that they don't tell you about. Something about additional fraud prevention checks. If your payment shows "processed" yesterday (Tuesday), I'd expect to see it in your Chase account either tomorrow morning (Wednesday) or Thursday morning at the latest. Pro tip: Download your bank's mobile app if you haven't already - you'll get a notification the moment the deposit hits, usually in the middle of the night. That way you don't have to keep checking all day!

0 coins

This is really helpful info, especially about the fraud prevention delays on first payments - I had no idea that was a thing! I do have the Chase mobile app so I'll definitely keep an eye out for that notification. It's reassuring to know that the 24-48 hour extra delay is normal for first payments. I was starting to worry something was wrong with my claim. Thanks for taking the time to explain all of this!

I've been getting my DEO payments for about 6 months now and can share what I've noticed with timing. For me with SunTrust (now Truist), deposits almost always hit between 2:30-3:00 AM on the business day after CONNECT shows "processed." The key thing is "business day" - if your payment processes on Friday, you won't see it until Monday night/Tuesday morning. Also, if there are any bank holidays, that can push things back a day. Since you mentioned yours switched to processed yesterday and you're expecting it tomorrow, that sounds about right for normal timing. Just keep in mind that first payments can sometimes take an extra day compared to your regular weekly payments once you get into a routine. One last tip - if you don't see it by Thursday morning, definitely call or try one of those callback services people mentioned. Sometimes there are backend issues that only an agent can see and fix. Hope this helps!

0 coins

Thanks for sharing your experience with Truist! That's really helpful to know about the 2:30-3:00 AM timing pattern. I'm with Chase so hopefully they have a similar schedule. You're right about the business day thing - I always forget that weekend processing can throw everything off. I'll definitely give it until Thursday morning before I start panicking and calling DEO. It's such a relief to hear from people who've been through this process successfully. The waiting and uncertainty is the worst part!

0 coins

From what I've experienced and seen others mention here, Chase typically processes DEO deposits pretty consistently around 3-4 AM the business day after it shows processed in CONNECT. Since yours switched to processed yesterday, you should hopefully see it hit your account tomorrow morning. One thing I learned the hard way - set up account alerts in your Chase app if you haven't already. That way you'll get notified immediately when the deposit hits instead of constantly refreshing your account balance. Also, don't panic if it takes until Thursday morning - first payments really do have those extra verification delays that others mentioned, even when everything looks normal on your end. If you don't see anything by Thursday afternoon, definitely try calling or use one of those callback services. Sometimes there are glitches in the system that only an agent can identify and fix. Hang in there - the waiting is nerve-wracking but it sounds like everything is moving along normally for you!

Thanks for the Chase-specific timing info! I just set up the account alerts like you suggested - that's such a good idea instead of obsessively checking my balance every hour. It's really reassuring to hear that the 3-4 AM timeframe is consistent for Chase with DEO deposits. I'll try to be patient and give it until Thursday afternoon before I start making calls. This whole thread has been incredibly helpful - it's amazing how much useful info you can get from people who've actually been through this process!

I just went through this exact situation a few weeks ago! My first DEO payment showed "processed" on a Tuesday and I was panicking because I had rent due. With Chase, it hit my account at exactly 3:22 AM on Wednesday morning - I know the exact time because I had set up those mobile alerts everyone's talking about. The thing that really helped my anxiety was realizing that "processed" in CONNECT doesn't mean the money left DEO yet - it just means they approved it for payment. The actual electronic transfer usually happens overnight, which is why most people see deposits between 2-4 AM. Since you're also with Chase and your payment processed yesterday, I'd bet money you'll wake up tomorrow to see it in your account. Chase is pretty reliable with DEO deposits in my experience. If for some reason it's not there by Thursday morning, don't hesitate to call - sometimes there are small hiccups that only an agent can resolve. Good luck! That first payment anxiety is real but you should be all set soon.

This is so reassuring to hear from someone who just went through the exact same thing with Chase! The 3:22 AM timing gives me hope that I'll see mine around the same time tomorrow morning. I really appreciate you explaining that "processed" doesn't mean the money has actually left DEO yet - that makes so much sense but nobody ever explains that part. I've been checking my account obsessively since yesterday but now I'll try to relax knowing it's probably just going through the normal overnight transfer process. Thanks for sharing your experience and the encouragement!

Just wanted to add my experience since I see you're also with Chase! I've been on DEO for about 4 months now and Chase has been super consistent with the timing. My deposits almost always hit between 2:45-3:15 AM the day after CONNECT shows processed. For your first payment, don't be surprised if it takes until Thursday morning - there really is that extra verification delay people mentioned, even though DEO never tells you about it upfront. Also make sure to check that your routing and account numbers are exactly right in CONNECT - even one digit off will bounce the payment back and cause major delays. Since yours processed yesterday and you're expecting it tomorrow, that timeline sounds totally normal. The hardest part is just waiting! Once you get into the regular payment cycle it becomes much more predictable. Hang in there!

0 coins

Thanks for sharing your Chase experience! It's really helpful to hear that the 2:45-3:15 AM timeframe is so consistent - gives me a specific window to expect it rather than just wondering all day. I double-checked my routing and account numbers in CONNECT and they look correct, so hopefully that won't be an issue. The waiting really is the hardest part, especially when you have bills hanging over your head! It's reassuring to know that once I get through this first payment, the timing should become much more predictable. Appreciate everyone's advice and support in this thread!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! My payment switched to processed yesterday afternoon and I'm anxiously waiting for it to hit my account. Reading through everyone's experiences here is really helpful - sounds like most people with major banks see their deposits between 2-4 AM the business day after processing. I'm with Bank of America so hopefully their timing is similar to Chase. The first payment anxiety is definitely real when you have bills due! Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and timelines.

Hey, I'm in a similar boat! Just started my claim process and waiting on my first payment too. Bank of America usually has pretty similar timing to Chase from what I've heard - most people see DEO deposits hit between 2-4 AM. The waiting is definitely nerve-wracking, especially when you've got bills stacking up! It's really helpful reading everyone's experiences here. Sounds like we should both hopefully see our payments tomorrow morning if they processed yesterday. Fingers crossed for both of us!

I'm new to this whole unemployment process and just filed my first claim last week. Reading through everyone's experiences here is super helpful! It sounds like most people are seeing deposits hit between 2-4 AM the business day after CONNECT shows "processed." I'm still waiting for my claim to be approved, but this gives me a good idea of what to expect for timing once I get to that point. Quick question - does anyone know if the deposit timing is different for weekends? Like if my payment processes on a Friday, should I expect it Saturday night/Sunday morning or does it wait until the next business day? Thanks for all the detailed info everyone has shared!

0 coins

Welcome to the unemployment process! From what I've experienced and seen others mention, DEO doesn't process payments on weekends or holidays - they're strictly Monday-Friday. So if your payment shows processed on a Friday, you'll typically see the deposit hit your account Monday night/Tuesday morning rather than over the weekend. The banks also don't usually process ACH transfers on weekends, so even if DEO sent it, you probably wouldn't see it until Monday anyway. The 2-4 AM timing most people mentioned is for business days only. Hope this helps as you navigate your first claim!

I've been getting DEO payments for about 8 months now and can confirm what others are saying about the timing. With my bank (PNC), deposits consistently hit between 2:30-3:45 AM the business day after CONNECT shows "processed." Since you mentioned yours switched to processed yesterday and you're with Chase, you should definitely see it tomorrow morning in that 2-4 AM window everyone's talking about. Chase is actually one of the more reliable banks for DEO deposits from what I've observed in this community. One thing I wish someone had told me when I was waiting for my first payment - don't keep refreshing your account during the day. The deposits almost never happen during business hours. Set up those mobile alerts and try to get some sleep - you'll wake up to the notification if it hits overnight like it should. If for some reason it's not there by Thursday afternoon, that's when I'd start making calls. But based on your timeline and bank, everything sounds completely normal. The first payment anxiety is rough but you're almost through it!

Thanks so much for the reassurance! It's really helpful to hear from someone who's been through this process for 8 months. You're absolutely right about not refreshing constantly during the day - I've been guilty of checking every hour since yesterday and it's just making me more anxious. I just set up the mobile alerts on my Chase app so hopefully I'll get that notification overnight. PNC's 2:30-3:45 AM timing sounds very similar to what others have said about Chase, so that gives me confidence. I'll definitely try to be patient until Thursday afternoon before panicking. This whole thread has been such a lifesaver for managing first payment anxiety!

I've been on DEO for about 3 months now and wanted to share what I've learned about deposit timing since you're dealing with the stress of waiting for your first payment. With most major banks including Chase, DEO deposits typically hit between 2-4 AM the business day after your payment shows "processed" in CONNECT. Since yours switched to processed yesterday, you should see it in your Chase account tomorrow morning. First payments often have an extra 24-48 hour delay for additional verification that DEO doesn't tell you about, so don't panic if it takes until Thursday morning. A few tips that helped me: 1) Set up mobile banking alerts so you get notified immediately when it hits, 2) Double-check your direct deposit info is correct in CONNECT, and 3) Make sure it didn't get sent to the Way2Go card instead (check your payment method in CONNECT). The waiting is awful, especially with bills due, but your timeline sounds completely normal. If it's not there by Thursday afternoon, that's when I'd start calling DEO or trying one of those callback services people mentioned. Hang in there - you're almost through the worst part!

0 coins

This is such comprehensive advice, thank you! I just went through and double-checked everything you mentioned - my direct deposit info looks correct in CONNECT and it still shows "Direct Deposit" not "Way2Go Card" as the payment method, so that's a relief. I had no idea about the 24-48 hour extra delay for first payments - that explains why I've been so anxious! It's really reassuring to know this is normal and not a sign that something went wrong with my claim. I set up those mobile alerts on Chase like you suggested, so hopefully I'll wake up to good news tomorrow morning. If not, I'll give it until Thursday afternoon before I start worrying. Thanks for taking the time to lay out all these helpful tips - this thread has been a lifesaver for managing the stress of waiting!

I just wanted to jump in as someone who went through this exact same anxiety about 2 months ago! Your timeline sounds completely normal - processed yesterday, expecting deposit tomorrow with Chase. I'm also with Chase and have found them to be very consistent with DEO deposits hitting between 2:45-3:30 AM the business day after processing. The first payment really is the most stressful because you don't know what to expect, but based on everything you've described, you should wake up tomorrow morning to see that deposit in your account. I remember setting my alarm for 3 AM just to check when I was waiting for my first payment! One small tip - if you haven't already, make sure your Chase account can receive ACH transfers without any holds. Sometimes banks will put a hold on larger deposits if it's unusual activity for your account, which could delay when you can actually access the funds even if the deposit shows up. You can call Chase and let them know you're expecting unemployment deposits so they don't flag it. The waiting is definitely the hardest part, but you're so close to getting that first payment! Everything sounds like it's moving along perfectly normal.

0 coins

Thank you so much for this! It's really reassuring to hear from someone who went through the exact same anxiety just a couple months ago. I love that you set your alarm for 3 AM to check - I was honestly considering doing the same thing! The 2:45-3:30 AM timeframe you mentioned for Chase lines up perfectly with what everyone else has been saying, so that gives me a lot of confidence. That's a great tip about calling Chase to let them know I'm expecting unemployment deposits. I hadn't thought about potential holds on larger deposits, but that makes total sense since this would be unusual activity for my account. I'll definitely give them a call today to make sure there won't be any issues accessing the funds once the deposit hits. It's amazing how much this thread has helped calm my nerves about the whole process. Going from complete anxiety to feeling like everything is moving along normally - that's exactly what I needed to hear. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow morning with good news and can pay these bills that have been stressing me out!

0 coins

I've been through this exact situation! With Chase specifically, I've found DEO deposits are very reliable - they almost always hit between 3:00-3:30 AM the business day after CONNECT shows "processed." Since yours switched yesterday, you should definitely see it tomorrow morning. A couple things that helped me manage the anxiety: First, Chase has really good mobile notifications, so set those up if you haven't already. Second, remember that first payments often take an extra day or two compared to regular weekly payments due to additional verification steps DEO runs behind the scenes. If you're really stressed about timing for bills, you might want to call Chase and give them a heads up that you're expecting unemployment deposits. Sometimes they'll put holds on unusual large deposits, but if you let them know ahead of time, the funds should be available immediately when the deposit hits. Your timeline sounds completely normal based on my experience. Try not to stress too much - the deposit should be there when you wake up tomorrow!
