Where to find my EDD benefit summary balance? Can't locate it in UI Online
I'm trying to figure out exactly how much is left in my EDD claim balance. I know I originally qualified for like $7800 total but I've been collecting since February and need to know what's remaining. I've logged into UI Online and clicked around everywhere but can't find a clear summary that shows my remaining balance. Am I missing something obvious? Where exactly in UI Online can I see how much benefit money I have left? Getting a bit stressed because I don't want to suddenly run out without being prepared.

•That's what I thought too, but all I see on my homepage is my payment history and certification status. No total remaining balance anywhere.

You need to go to the 'Claim Summary' section in UI Online. From your dashboard, look for a link that says 'Claim Summary' or sometimes 'Claim Details' (EDD changes the interface occasionally). Click that and you should see your total benefit award amount and remaining balance. If you're on mobile, make sure you're using the full site version as sometimes the mobile view hides certain information.

•Thank you! I'll check that section again. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong spot or the mobile view was hiding it like you said. Really appreciate the clear directions.

I had the EXACT same issue last month and it turns out they moved it! Go to UI Online > Claim Summary > scroll down past your weekly benefit amount and look for 'Maximum Benefit Amount' and right below that should be 'Remaining Balance'. For some reason they buried it further down the page in the latest update.

•Thank you so much for the detailed steps! I'll try this tonight when I get home. So frustrating when they change the interface without telling anyone.

•Just adding that sometimes the system is down for maintenance and certain features aren't visible. If you still can't find it after following these directions, try again during regular business hours. EDD's systems often update overnight and some features get temporarily hidden.

Is anyone else having trouble with the claim balance showing correctly??? Mine has been showing the WRONG amount for 3 weeks now! Says I have $3,225 left but when I called the rep said I actually only have $1,450!!! How are we supposed to plan our finances when the system shows incorrect info?!?! This is SO FRUSTRATING!!

•I've seen this happen before. The online balance doesn't always update immediately after payments process. The rep you spoke with likely has access to the most current balance after recent payments were deducted. The system usually catches up within 1-2 business days after each payment processes.

If you're still having trouble viewing your balance, I highly recommend using Claimyr to connect with an EDD agent directly. I was stuck in the same situation where I couldn't find my balance info, and after days of busy signals, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to a real person in about 25 minutes who not only told me my exact balance but also explained why it wasn't showing correctly online. Their video demo shows how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km. Saved me so much frustration!

To clarify for everyone: your EDD benefit summary information should be visible in these locations: 1. UI Online homepage - look for 'Claim Summary' link 2. Inside Claim Summary page - scroll down to find 'Maximum Benefit Amount' and 'Remaining Balance' 3. On your award letter (the original notice you received when your claim was approved) 4. On your most recent payment statement If you can't access this information online, it's usually due to one of these reasons: - System maintenance (try again during regular business hours) - Claim status issues (pending review, etc.) - Multiple claims in the system (need to select the correct claim period) - Browser cache problems (try clearing cache or using a different browser) Hope this helps everyone!

•Thank you for this comprehensive answer! I'm going to check all these places. I think the issue might be that I was looking at the mobile version which seems to hide some info. Really appreciate everyone's help!

Did you ever find it? I'm curious because mine keeps showing different amounts on different screens which is super confusing.

•Yes! Finally found it following the directions above. Had to use the desktop site (not mobile) and then go to Claim Summary and scroll way down. For some reason they don't make it obvious at all. And yeah, I noticed the amount showing on the homepage summary doesn't always match what's on the detailed page - so confusing!

Another tip that helped me - if you're still having issues seeing your balance, try logging out completely and logging back in. Sometimes the session gets stuck showing cached/old information. Also, make sure you're looking at the right benefit year if you've had multiple claims. I accidentally was looking at my old 2023 claim info instead of my current 2024 claim for like a week before I realized! The dropdown to select which claim period you want to view is usually at the top of the Claim Summary page.

I just want to add that if you're still having trouble after trying all these suggestions, there might be an issue with your specific claim that's preventing the balance from displaying properly. I had this happen when EDD was reviewing something on my claim - the balance section just showed "N/A" until they finished their review process. If you've tried the desktop site, cleared your cache, logged out/in, and checked all the locations mentioned above but still can't see your balance, it might be worth calling to make sure there isn't a hold or review on your account that's causing the display issue. Sometimes technical problems are actually claim status problems in disguise!

•That's a really good point about the claim status potentially affecting the display. I didn't even think about that possibility. It would explain why some people are seeing inconsistent information or missing sections entirely. Thanks for mentioning this - it's definitely something to keep in mind if the technical solutions don't work!

Just wanted to share my experience since I went through this exact same thing a few months ago! I was panicking because I couldn't find my balance anywhere and thought maybe my claim had been cancelled or something. Turns out I was making it way more complicated than it needed to be. Here's what worked for me: 1) Make sure you're on the full desktop site (not mobile), 2) Go to "Claim Summary" from your main dashboard, 3) Scroll down past all the basic info - they really do bury it pretty far down the page, and 4) Look for "Maximum Benefit Amount" and right underneath should be "Remaining Balance". If you still can't see it, try a different browser entirely - I had weird display issues with Chrome but it showed up perfectly in Firefox. Also, don't panic if the numbers seem slightly off from what you calculated - sometimes there are small adjustments for things like taxes or overpayments that aren't immediately obvious. The system isn't perfect but the info is definitely there once you know where to look!

•This is such a helpful step-by-step breakdown! I'm definitely going to try Firefox if I run into any more display issues. It's reassuring to know that even if the numbers look slightly different from my own calculations, that's normal due to tax adjustments and stuff. Really appreciate you sharing your experience - it makes me feel less stressed about the whole situation!

I had this EXACT same problem last week and was getting so frustrated! What finally worked for me was switching to the desktop version (not mobile) and then going to UI Online homepage > Claim Summary > scroll ALL the way down past your weekly benefit amount, past the claim dates, and look for a section that says "Maximum Benefit Amount" with your original $7800, and right below that should be "Remaining Balance". Mine was literally at the very bottom of that page and I must have missed it like 5 times because I wasn't scrolling far enough down. Also make sure you're looking at the right benefit year if you've had claims before - there's usually a dropdown at the top to select which claim period you want to view. Hope this helps and you can find it!

•Thank you so much Sofia! This is exactly what I needed - I think I was definitely not scrolling far enough down. I kept stopping after seeing the weekly benefit amount thinking that was all there was. And you're absolutely right about the benefit year dropdown - I didn't even notice that was there. I'm going to try this right now on my laptop instead of my phone. Really appreciate everyone's help in this thread, you all are lifesavers!

I just want to add one more thing that helped me - if you're using Chrome and still having display issues even on desktop, try opening an incognito/private browsing window. Sometimes browser extensions or saved login data can mess with how EDD's site displays information. I spent hours trying to find my balance on my regular Chrome browser, but when I opened an incognito window and logged in fresh, everything showed up perfectly in the Claim Summary section exactly where everyone said it would be. Also, if you're worried about running out of benefits, you should get a notification in your UI Online inbox when you're getting close to exhausting your claim balance, but it's definitely smart to keep track yourself so you can plan ahead!

•Great tip about the incognito window! I never would have thought of browser extensions causing display issues with government sites, but that makes total sense. And thanks for mentioning the notification system - I had no idea EDD sends alerts when you're running low on benefits. That's really reassuring to know there's a built-in warning system, though you're absolutely right that it's better to stay on top of it yourself. I'm definitely going to bookmark the exact path to find the balance so I don't have to go through this hunting process again!
