EDD Claim Update for Partial Hours - Video Requirement?
Hey everyone, I'm not really tech-savvy but I need some help. I'm trying to update my claim for partial hours worked, and they're asking for a video or something? Is that really necessary? I'm kinda lost here and could use some guidance.

No worries, mate! You don't actually need to submit a video. They usually just want you to leave a comment on their video link. Just share your thoughts there and you should be good to go. Don't stress about the tech stuff, it's simpler than it sounds!

•This is correct. I had the same confusion last month. Just leave a written comment and you'll be fine 👍

•@profile 3 It's not for everyone. Depends on your specific claim type and circumstances. If you didn't see it, you probably don't need to worry about it.

Ugh, the system is so confusing! Why can't they make it easier for us? I swear, its like they want us to mess up our claims 🙄

I found a way to actually talk to a real person on the phone about this stuff. There's this website called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials through all the phone menus, waits on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. Saved me a whole day of trying to get through. Worth it if you're stuck imho.

•I used it last week actually. Took about an hour but I finally got to talk to someone and sort out my issue. Beats calling for days straight lol

Here's what you need to know about updating your claim for partial hours: 1. Log into your account on the EDD website 2. Go to the 'Certify for Benefits' section 3. When asked about work and earnings, report your partial hours 4. Be honest about the hours worked and wages earned 5. If you earned wages, you might see a reduction in your benefit amount 6. Keep any pay stubs or records of your work hours Remember, you don't need to submit a video. Just follow these steps and you should be fine. If you're still unsure, try calling the EDD directly for clarification.

Pro tip: Always double check your entries before submitting. One small mistake can delay your claim for weeks. Learn from my fail 🤦♂️
