EDD Card Delay: Submitted Application, Got Confirmation, No Card Yet - What Next?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment application. I submitted it a while ago and got a confirmation, but I still haven't received my card. I'm not sure if I'm missing any documents or if there's something else I need to do. Has anyone else experienced this? What are the next steps I should take?

I found a way to solve unemployment card delay issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfdpLLkV3J0

I've been there, buddy. Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your confirmation notice. Make sure it doesn't mention any missing docs. 2. Get your ID and previous employment proof ready. You might need them. 3. When you talk to an agent, ask if they need anything else to process your card. 4. Verify your address is correct in the system. 5. Ask about the timeline for receiving the card. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I'll definitely follow these steps. Do you know how long it usually takes to get the card after everything is submitted correctly?

It can vary, but typically it takes about 7-10 business days after your claim is approved. But with all the backlog lately, it might take longer. Hang in there!

Just to add - make sure you activate the card as soon as you get it! I made that mistake and it delayed my payments even more 🤦‍♂️

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

I get the skepticism, but it's 100% legit. I was desperate after trying for weeks and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

$20 seems steep just to talk to someone... the system is so broken 😩

I hear ya, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting so much time trying to get through. Plus, I needed answers ASAP.

I didn't even know that was an option! Thanks, I'll definitely check that out. Do you know where exactly I can find that info on the website?

Sure thing! Log into your account on the unemployment website, and there should be a section called 'Claim Status' or something similar. It might have info about pending documents or next steps.

Pro tip: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every online interaction. You never know when you might need to prove you did something or someone told you something. It's saved my butt more than once dealing with this bureaucracy. 📝💯
