PFL Payment Delay: Got first 2 weeks, missing last 6. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my PFL payments. I started working part-time after my kid was born and got paid for the first 2 weeks of leave. But now I'm waiting on payments for the other 6 weeks I'm eligible for. Anyone know how I can get those payments? It's been a while and I'm getting worried.

Ugh, I feel ya. The PFL system can be such a headache sometimes. Have you tried calling them? It might be worth a shot to see if there's any hold-up on their end.

Yeah, I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after trying that for a few days straight. Good luck!

Calling is the worst 😫 I spent hours on hold and still got nowhere. There's gotta be a better way!

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out there was a problem with my paperwork. Double-check that you've submitted all the required docs. Sometimes they don't tell you if something's missing 🙄

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes updates show up there before you get any other notification. Might be worth a look if you haven't already.

Okay, so here's what you need to do: 1. Check your online account for any messages or updates 2. Make sure all your paperwork is complete and submitted 3. If everything looks good on your end, you need to contact them ASAP 4. Be persistent - call multiple times if needed 5. If calling doesn't work, try emailing or even sending a physical letter 6. Document everything - dates you called, who you spoke to, what was said 7. If all else fails, contact your local representative's office. They can sometimes help push things through Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up! You're entitled to those payments.

This is solid advice 💯 Especially the part about documenting everything. It's saved my butt more than once when dealing with bureaucracy.

Contacting your rep is a great idea! My cousin did that and got her issue resolved in like a week after months of nothing.

Man, the PFL system is so broken. I swear they make it complicated on purpose to discourage people from claiming what they're owed. Hang in there, OP!

Preach! 🙌 It's like they forget we're dealing with newborns while trying to navigate this mess. Not exactly a walk in the park.

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I was skeptical too, but it honestly saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

Interesting. How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

It took about an hour and a half, but I just went about my day until they called me. Way better than being stuck on hold myself.

Have you considered reaching out to your HR department? Sometimes they can help push things along or at least provide more info about whats going on with your claim.

Ikr? It's like they forget we have bills to pay and babies to feed. Get it together, PFL! 🙄
