FMLA application not processing with EDD despite submitting all docs - multiple submissions causing issues?
I submitted my FMLA application with all the required documents, including the DE 2501F form, statement of care recipient part C, and healthcare recipient's physician certification part D. But it's not getting processed even though I'm pretty sure they received everything. I think the problem might be that I submitted parts C and D multiple times because of internet issues. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get it sorted out?

Ugh, dealing with EDD is such a pain! 🤦♂️ I had a similar issue where I submitted multiple copies of some forms. It took forever to get sorted out. Have you tried calling them? That's what finally worked for me.

•I've been trying to call but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take you to finally reach someone?

•It took me like 3 days of constant redialing. I swear I was gonna lose my mind 😵💫 But once I got through, they were actually pretty helpful.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

•I used it last week and got through in like 30 minutes. Beats spending all day on hold!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call the EDD and explain the situation clearly. Mention that you submitted multiple copies due to internet issues. 2. Ask them to locate all your submissions and consolidate them into one application. 3. Request a confirmation number or email for your records. 4. If they can't help over the phone, ask about submitting a written request for review. 5. Keep detailed notes of all your calls, including date, time, and representative's name. 6. If you still don't get a resolution, consider contacting your local state representative's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. Remember, persistence is key when dealing with bureaucracy. Don't give up!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure to follow up every week if you don't hear back. Sometimes applications can slip through the cracks.

have you tried faxing your documents? sometimes that works better than submitting online. less chance of duplication errors

OMG the EDD is such a joke 🤡 I swear they make everything 10x more complicated than it needs to be. Good luck OP, you're gonna need it!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update the status there before they actually contact you. Might give you some insight into whats going on with your application.

pro tip: if u can, go to ur local edd office in person. sometimes face-to-face works better than tryna deal w/ this stuff online or over the phone

•That's actually really smart advice! I never thought about going in person. Do you know if they take walk-ins or do I need to make an appointment first? Also, which documents should I bring with me?
