Struggling to reach someone about my benefit claim - any tips?
Hey everyone, I need some advice about my benefit claim. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone for ages but no luck. Has anyone had any success recently? What's the best way to actually talk to a real person about my claim?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to actually get our benefits 🙄

Seriously! It's like they're purposely making it difficult. I've tried calling at different times of the day, but it's always the same result.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. Why should we have to pay to talk to someone about our benefits?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I finally got through to a real person. Worth every penny imo.

Can you give more details about how it works? Like, do you have to download anything?

Nah, no downloads. You just go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay, and they start calling for you. When they get someone, your phone rings and you're connected. Simple as that.

Here's what I've learned after months of dealing with this: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it seems hopeless. 2. Try calling at off-peak hours. Early morning or late afternoon can sometimes work. 3. Have all your info ready when you call. Claim number, SSN, employment history, etc. 4. Be polite to the agent when you finally get through. They're probably overwhelmed too. 5. If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak to a supervisor. 6. Keep a log of all your calls and who you spoke to. 7. Consider reaching out to your local representative if you're getting nowhere. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together! 💪

Great advice! I'd add: don't give up. It took me 3 weeks of calling every day, but I finally got through and got my issue resolved.

Has anyone tried using the online portal? I heard they updated it recently.

Yeah, I tried it last week. It's a bit better than before, but still pretty confusing tbh.

This whole system is a joke. How are we supposed to survive when we can't even access our benefits? The government needs to do better.

Preach! 🙌 It's like they forget these are real people with bills to pay.

Fr fr. We need to start making some noise about this. Maybe contact local news stations?

Quick question - does anyone know if theres a difference between calling the local office vs the main number? I'm wondering if I should try both
