SDI claim unpaid since August, on medical leave til 8/26. Need help getting it processed ASAP due to financial hardship!

My SDI claim hasn't been paid since early August, and I'm on extended medical leave until the end of the month. I'm experiencing financial hardship and need my claim processed ASAP. Anyone else dealing with similar delays? Any advice on how to get this resolved quickly?

I found a way to solve SDI claim payment delays quickly, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTX2ip-GP4M

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting on my claim for weeks too. It's like they forget we have bills to pay 🙄 Have you tried calling them? I heard sometimes that can speed things up.

Yeah, I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. Always busy or they hang up on me. So frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

I get it, but for me it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know?

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and claim submissions. 2. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 3. Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. 4. Check your online account daily for updates or requests for additional info. 5. If you're facing severe hardship, mention that specifically. There might be ways to prioritize your claim. Hang in there! The system is overwhelmed, but keep pushing. You'll get your money eventually.

I'm in the same boat, friend. Been waiting since July. This system is so broken, it's not even funny anymore. Hang in there!

July?! That's insane. I hope you get your money soon. This is ridiculous.

Quick question - did you make sure all your medical certification was submitted correctly? That held up my claim for weeks until I realized my doctor hadn't sent in the right form.

Ava Hernandez

Oh man, I didn't even think to check that. I'll call my doctor's office tomorrow to make sure. Thanks for the heads up!

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just go back to work instead of relying on the government 🤷‍♂️
