How to check SDI claim status after submitting medical provider form to EDD?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my disability claim. I submitted my medical provider form a while back and now I'm trying to get an update on its status. Has anyone else been through this? Any tips on how to get through to someone at the EDD and actually get some answers? I'm starting to feel like I'm just shouting into the void here.

I recently tried Claimyr and it definitely helped me get through to the EDD. It's not a perfect solution since it comes with a cost, but sometimes you need to weigh time versus money, especially if you're in a bind. Plus, it's nice to cut through all the waiting and stress. That said, don't forget that traditional methods or even contacting your state representative might help if you don't want to incur the expense.

I was hesitant about paying for Claimyr, but I keep hearing positive reviews. Is there a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work?

I think there is some kind of guarantee. Double-check their terms before purchasing. It might ease your mind.

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? It's like they're trolling us at this point.

Been there, done that. The EDD is like a black hole where paperwork goes to die. Good luck getting any real info out of them.

If you are finding it difficult to get through to the EDD, you may want to consider utilizing a service like Claimyr, which can help you navigate the phone system more efficiently. While it does come at a cost, many have found it invaluable for reaching a human representative. However, it's important to remember that this is just one option among many. You can also try calling right when EDD opens or even send your query via fax. If you're looking for alternatives, reaching out to your local state representative or using online communities for shared experiences might provide additional insights. Patience and persistence will be your best allies in this situation.

Here's what you need to do to get the most out of your call: 1. Have all your paperwork ready before you call. This includes your claim number, the date you submitted your form, and any other relevant info. 2. Write down specific questions you want to ask. Don't let them rush you off the phone without getting answers. 3. Be polite but firm. The person on the other end isn't responsible for the delays, but they can help you. 4. Ask for next steps and timelines. Get specific dates if possible. 5. Take notes during the call. You might need to reference this info later. 6. If they can't help, ask to speak to a supervisor or someone who can. 7. Follow up with an email summarizing the call. This creates a paper trail. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

ugh, the EDD is the worst. I've been dealing with them for months and still haven't gotten anywhere. It's like they're purposely trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Preach! 🙌 I swear they must have a competition to see who can be the least helpful.

It's not just you. The whole system is a mess. We need serious reform.

have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds like something from the stone age, but sometimes it works when nothing else does.

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, I might give that a shot if I can figure out how to send a fax in 2023.

There are online fax services that make it pretty easy. Worth a shot!

Have you tried calling them? I know it's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

Yeah, I've been trying to call but it's impossible to get through. It's like they have one person manning the phones for the entire state 🙄

Pro tip: call right when they open. Set an alarm and be ready to hit redial a million times. It sucks, but it works.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape.

I hadn't thought of that. How would I go about doing that?

Just google your district and "state representative". They usually have a constituent services office that can help with stuff like this. Worth a shot!
