EDD return-to-work date discrepancy - need help ASAP!

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my return-to-work date. There's a discrepancy between what I was told and what's showing up in the system. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm worried it might affect my benefits. Any advice on how to handle this?

I found a way to solve return-to-work date discrepancy issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHzjA_pNgoc

Ugh, I've been there. The system is so messed up sometimes. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but it might be the only way to get it sorted out.

Yeah, I've been trying to call but the lines are always busy. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes of waiting last week.

30 minutes? Luky you! I was on hold for 3 hours yesterday and still didn't get through 😭

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration.

$20 tho? Thats kinda steep for something that should be free 🙄

I get it, but for me, it was worth not wasting an entire day on hold. Time is money, ya know? 🤷‍♂️

Make sure you document EVERYTHING. Dates, times, who you talked to. It'll help if you need to dispute anything later.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes the info there is more up-to-date than what they tell you on the phone.

Good idea, I'll double-check that. Thanks!

This happened to me last year. Here's what I did: 1. Gathered all my paperwork, including any emails or letters about my return date 2. Wrote down a clear timeline of events 3. Called and spoke to a rep (took forever to get through) 4. Asked for a supervisor when the first person couldn't help 5. Followed up with an email summarizing our call It took about two weeks, but they finally fixed it. Don't give up!

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? They sometimes have special channels to expedite these issues.

I hadn't thought of that. How would I go about contacting them?

Just google your district and 'state representative'. Most have forms on their websites for constituent services. Worth a shot!
