EDD payments suddenly stopped - need help!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment benefits. I was receiving payments regularly, but they suddenly stopped. I've been trying to get in touch with EDD to figure out what's going on, but it's been a nightmare. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this resolved?

Sometimes the system glitches and doesn't show pending tasks. Try logging out and back in, or use a different browser. It might reveal something new.

It took about 6 weeks from when my payments stopped to when they started again. But I've heard of people waiting much longer. The key is to keep at it and don't give up!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Sure! You basically schedule a call on their website, and they use an automated system to dial and navigate the EDD phone tree. When a real person picks up, they connect the call to your phone. They don't guarantee it'll work every time, but if it doesn't, they give you another try for free.
