EDD deposit missing: Bank says no pending transaction. What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment deposit. It was supposed to hit my account on Friday, but it's now Monday and still nothing. I called my bank and they said they don't see any pending transactions for the amount I'm expecting. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do next?

Ugh, I've been there before. It's so frustrating when you're counting on that money and it doesn't show up. Have you tried calling EDD directly? Sometimes they can give you more info about whats going on with your payment.

Yeah, getting through to EDD is like winning the lottery these days. Keep trying tho, sometimes early morning or late evening works better.

Pro tip: use a autodialer app. It'll keep calling until you get through. Saved me hours of frustration!

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and a bunch of payments got delayed. It eventually showed up after about 5 business days. Hang in there!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Did you have to do anything to get it resolved or did it just show up?

Nah, it just showed up on its own. But if it doesn't come through in a week, def follow up with them.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 🤦♂️

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Time is money, and I was wasting hours trying to get through.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your EDD account online. Make sure there are no pending issues or required actions. 2. Verify your bank info is correct in the system. 3. If everything looks good, keep calling EDD. Use the prompts for payment issues to get to the right department. 4. If you can't get through by phone, try reaching out via their online messaging system. 5. As a last resort, contact your local assembly member's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help escalate issues. Remember, patience is key. The system is overwhelmed, but persistence usually pays off. Good luck!

This is solid advice. I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Every call, every message, every person you talk to. It can help if you need to escalate later.

Man, EDD is such a joke these days. I've been waiting on my claim for 3 months now. It's like they're playing games with our lives 🤡

3 months? That's rough. Have you tried reaching out to your local rep? Sometimes they can help speed things up.

Quick question - did you certify for your weeks on time? Sometimes if you certify late, it can delay the payment.

Yep, I certified on Sunday like always. That's why I'm so confused about the delay.

Hmm, that is weird then. Definitely sounds like you need to get in touch with them directly. Good luck!
