EDD Payment Delayed: Tips for Contacting Unemployment Office Without Visiting In-Person?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting my payment from the unemployment office. I've been trying to reach them but can't seem to get through without going into the office. Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips on how to contact them successfully?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment contact issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkuTLt0Zx2A

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been in the same boat for weeks now. It's like they're purposely making it impossible to reach them! 🤬

For real tho! Its like they dont want us to get our money. So frustrating!

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through.

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. Still just get the busy signal or automated message. 😩

I actually found a method that worked for me! There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then forwards the call to you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it saved me hours of frustration. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

Is it legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

I get the skepticism, but it really did work for me. The $20 was worth it considering how much time I wasted trying to get through on my own. Plus, I finally got my payment sorted out!

Just tried it and it actually worked! Got through to an agent in about an hour. Thanks for the tip! 💯

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things through or at least get you in touch with the right person.

I swear the whole system is broken. I've been trying to get my payment for THREE MONTHS now. It's ridiculous!

Three months?! That's insane. Have you filed an appeal or anything?

Yep, filed an appeal last month. Still waiting to hear back. It's like shouting into the void at this point. 🤷‍♂️

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Try calling at off-peak hours (early morning or late afternoon). 3. Use their online portal if possible for some issues. 4. Reach out to your local unemployment office directly. 5. Consider contacting your state representative or senator. 6. Join unemployment Facebook groups for your state - sometimes they have insider tips. 7. Be persistent and don't give up! Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together! 💪

True, my bad. Didn't mean to sound insensitive. Just really frustrated with the whole system.

Has anyone tried faxing? I know it sounds old school, but I've heard some people have had success getting attention that way.

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 😂

Hey, don't knock it till you've tried it! Sometimes the old ways work best with these outdated systems. 🤷‍♀️
