EDD: Filed continued claim weeks ago, still no payment. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I filed my continued benefit claim for unemployment a while back, but I still haven't received any money. It's been weeks now and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do next? I've tried calling EDD but can't get through to anyone. Starting to feel pretty desperate here...

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat last month. Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes there's info there that doesn't come through other channels.

Yeah, I've been checking my account obsessively. No updates there either. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: check ur account at like 2am. Sometimes the system updates overnight and you might catch new info b4 the morning rush đź‘€

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds sketchy af. You sure this isn't a scam?

Nah, it's legit. I was skeptical too but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of hold time.

How long did it take to get through? I'm desperate but $20 is a lot rn

It took about 2 hours for me, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check that you certified for benefits correctly. Sometimes a small mistake can hold up the whole process. 2. Look for any pending forms or questionnaires in your UI Online account. They might need additional info. 3. If you can, try faxing a letter explaining your situation. Include your name, SSN, and claim details. Sometimes this gets attention faster than calls. 4. Keep calling, but try at off-peak hours like right when they open or just before closing. 5. Reach out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 6. Check if there are any known system issues or delays announced on the EDD website or social media. 7. Make sure your contact info and mailing address are up to date in the system. Hang in there! The system is frustrating but persistence usually pays off.

I swear EDD is run by a bunch of 🤡🤡🤡 How hard is it to just process claims and pay people? We're not asking for the moon here!

Cut them some slack. They're dealing with unprecedented volume. It's not easy.

Guys, I think I figured it out. You need to say 'EDD' three times in front of a mirror at midnight while burning your last paycheck. Works every time!

Instructions unclear. Accidentally summoned a demon who now works at EDD. Claim still not processed.

This might sound weird, but have you checked your spam folder? I once found an important EDD email there. Also, make sure your UI Online inbox isn't full.

OP, how long has it been exactly since you filed? There's been a lot of delays lately, but if it's been more than 3 weeks, something's definitely off.

Not to be that guy, but did you double-check that you're actually eligible for continued benefits? Sometimes people hit their max benefit amount without realizing it.
