EDD Approved Claim but No Payment Yet - How Long Does it Usually Take?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. My unemployment claim was approved and I was told the funds would be released, but I haven't seen a dime in my account yet. It's been a few days and I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea how long it usually takes for the money to show up after approval? I'm getting anxious cause bills are piling up and I really need this cash.

Ugh, I feel ya. The waiting game is the worst! 😫 When I got approved, it took about 3-5 business days for the money to hit my account. But I've heard it can vary. Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's more info there.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I've been refreshing that page like crazy. It just says 'approved' but no other details. Guess I'll keep waiting and hope for the best. 🤞

Pro tip: call your bank too! Sometimes they can see pending deposits before they actually post to your account. Might give you peace of mind.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I've been in the same boat for WEEKS now. Approved but no money. The system is so broken, I swear they do this on purpose to make us give up. 🤬

Weeks?! That's insane. Have you tried calling them? I know its a pain but sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease.

Calling is a joke. I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected. It's like trying to win the lottery just to talk to a human.

I feel you. The whole system is a clown show. 🤡 But don't give up! Keep pushing and documenting everything. You'll get your money eventually.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check all your info is correct in the system 2. Make sure your bank account details are up to date 3. Look for any pending action items or certifications you might have missed 4. If it's been more than 5 business days, start calling 5. Be prepared with your claim number and all relevant dates 6. If calling doesn't work, try reaching out via social media or email 7. Consider contacting your local representative if it drags on Stay persistent! The squeaky wheel gets the grease in these situations.

Has anyone else noticed that the payment dates on the website are often wrong? Mine said it would be deposited last Tuesday, but it didn't show up until Friday. Maybe give it a few more days before panicking.

I found a method to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

20 bucks to maybe talk to someone? Idk man, seems sketchy.

I get the skepticism, but it's 100% legit. Used it twice now. Beats spending hours on hold or getting disconnected. For me, it was worth every penny to actually talk to a human and get my issue resolved.

Just tried it and it actually worked! Got through to an agent in about 45 minutes. Definitely beats my previous attempts of calling for hours.

Have you checked if there's a debit card option? Sometimes they default to that instead of direct deposit. I nearly missed my first payment cause I didn't know they sent me a card!
