3 weeks delay for 2nd opinion doctor paperwork - SDI claim stuck in limbo
I've been waiting for weeks to get paperwork for a 2nd opinion doctor for my disability claim. It's been 3 weeks already and I still can't schedule an appointment. Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Any advice on how to speed up the process?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through something similar last year. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes you gotta be the squeaky wheel to get the grease, ya know? 🙄

Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. Thats how I finally got through after weeks of trying

Good advice! Also, don't forget to document everything. Keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. It might come in handy later.

Three weeks is ridiculous! Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help expedite these things.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

Here's what you need to do: 1. Call them every single day. Be persistent. 2. Ask to speak with a supervisor if the regular agent can't help. 3. Send a written request via certified mail asking for the status of your paperwork. 4. Keep detailed records of all communications. 5. If all else fails, consider contacting your state's insurance commissioner or ombudsman. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there before they actually contact you.
