Which Fresno stores accept the CalFresh Market Match/fruits and veggies incentive program? Need to use my $60

Hey CalFresh community! I just checked my EBT account and noticed I have about $60 in fruit and vegetable incentives that I need to use (Market Match I think it's called?). Can anyone tell me which stores in Fresno area accept these incentives? I know farmers markets do, but are there any regular grocery stores where I can use this? Don't want to waste these benefits since my kids love fruit. Thanks in advance!

i shop at the vineyard farmers market on wednesdays + saturdays, they double ur ebt up to $15!! so u get $30 worth of produce. also the fresno state farm market takes it. idk about regular stores tho

Thx! Vineyard is a bit far from me but I'll try the Fresno State one. Any idea if they're open on Sundays? That's usually when I do my shopping.

The Market Match program is primarily available at farmers markets in Fresno, not regular grocery stores. Here are the locations that accept it:\n\n- Fresno State Farm Market (open Sat 8-1, closed Sundays)\n- Vineyard Farmers Market at Shaw/Blackstone (Wed 3-6, Sat 8-12)\n- Kaiser Permanente Farmers Market (Wed 8-1:30)\n- Manchester Center Farmers Market (Wed & Fri 8-1)\n- Fulton Street Farmers Market (Saturdays 8-1)\n\nYou can use your regular CalFresh benefits at any grocery store that accepts EBT, but the Market Match incentives are specifically for farmers markets. The program usually matches what you spend up to a certain amount (typically $10-15).

The $60 you're seeing might be your regular CalFresh benefits, not Market Match. Market Match is given AT the farmers market when you use your EBT card there - it's not pre-loaded onto your account. They match what you spend up to a certain amount. So if you swipe your EBT for $10, they'll give you an extra $10 in tokens/vouchers to spend on fruits and vegetables.

Ohhh that makes sense! You're right, I was confused. I think the $60 is just my regular benefits. I've never used Market Match before so I didn't understand how it worked. Thanks for clarifying!

I've been using Market Match at farmers markets for years, and it's a great way to stretch your CalFresh dollars! Just to clarify a couple things:\n\n1. The $60 you're seeing is your regular CalFresh benefits, not Market Match\n2. Market Match is provided at the farmers market when you use your EBT card\n3. In Fresno, most markets will match up to $10-15 per visit\n4. The Fresno Mobile Market also offers Market Match in various neighborhoods\n\nOne tip - if you're having trouble getting through to CalFresh on the phone to ask questions about your benefits (which happens all the time), try Claimyr.com. They'll get you through to a live person at the county office without the endless hold times. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/eZ19FHRETv8?si=_CXnXqNXbLl26WB8 \n\nIt saved me hours of frustration when I needed to update my household info!

Thanks for the detailed info! I'll check out the Mobile Market too since that might be more convenient. And thanks for the Claimyr tip - I've literally spent HOURS on hold with the county before.

I HATE how confusing they make all this!!! I've been on CalFresh for 3 years and still get confused about what benefits can be used where. Why can't they just make it simple?? And don't get me started on how the farmers markets are only open during work hours when most people CAN'T GO!! Some of us have JOBS, Fresno County!!! 😡

Have you tried the Manchester Center market? It's one of my favorites in Fresno for using Market Match. They usually have a booth right at the entrance where you swipe your EBT card and they give you the matching tokens. The selection is really good there too!\n\nAlso, check out the

You might be thinking of the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP), which is different from Market Match. It's easy to confuse these programs since there are several different food assistance initiatives.
