I have a savings/dividend bearing account that I just let accumulate and my parents manage for me (roughly $300 per month in interest and dividends). I realized when I filed taxes that I had this income but did not report it to my county office on my application because it really didn’t come to mind when they asked about unearned income. I called the county office, and they said because I voluntarily discontinued my case a few months ago, there was nothing they could do now (I even asked if I could speak to a overpayment representative, but they said the same thing). Is there anything I can do right now? I’m just worried they might see this as intentional even though I genuinely don’t manage these accounts.
