If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

my daughter had this same issue but with like 5 SCHOOLS lol. what we did was put deposit at her top 2 choices only, then when all the aid packages finally came in we just lost one deposit. cheaper than paying all 5. you could also try askin the june 1 deadline school if they can get u the package earlier so u can decide on the may 15 schools?

Smart! Wish we'd thought of that approach.

Just to follow up - I recommend you check if any of these schools subscribe to the National Candidates Reply Date Agreement. If they do, they're supposed to give you until May 1 to decide AND provide your complete financial aid package well before that. The fact that a school told you outright they won't have aid info before their own deadline is concerning and potentially against this agreement. You have legitimate grounds to request an extension based on this alone.

Update: I got extensions from both May 15 schools! The first one gave us until May 25 and the second until May 29. The second school's financial aid office apologized for the delay and said they're overwhelmed with the new FAFSA system this year. At least now we'll be able to compare all three offers before making a decision. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Update on my earlier comment - I just remembered my roommate had a similar issue and what worked for her was emailing FSA's escalation team directly. The address is: FSAOperations@ed.gov Include ALL details: - Full name - Date of birth - FSA ID (username only, not password) - Date verification documents were submitted - Pending school deadlines - Summary of all contact attempts Make the subject line clear: "URGENT: Verification Documents Submitted [date] - School Deadline [date]" This often gets faster attention than calling the general line.

Thank you SO much for this email address! Will definitely try this approach too. At this point I'm willing to try anything to get this resolved before her school's deadline.

To answer your question about checking if schools received the FAFSA data - unfortunately, studentaid.gov doesn't show this information directly. You need to either: 1. Contact each school's financial aid office directly 2. Check your student portal for each school (they often have a financial aid section showing received documents) 3. Wait for schools to send missing information notices (not recommended) The current transmission issues are a known problem. According to the Department of Education, about 18% of processed FAFSAs are experiencing transmission delays to selected institutions. They're working on resolving this but haven't provided a timeline. If you confirm schools haven't received the data after 7-10 days of processing, then it's time to contact Federal Student Aid directly.

When I had this exact issue, I spent days trying to get through to FSA on their regular number with no luck. Ended up using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent who confirmed my FAFSA was processed but stuck in their system for transmission. They manually released it to my schools and within 2 days all my schools confirmed receipt. Saved me from missing several priority deadlines. They have a demo video here if you're interested: https://youtu.be/TbC8dZQWYNQ

im so jelous!! submitted mine in january and still nothing. called today and they said theres a problem with my dads tax info even tho we used the irs data retreival thing?? makes no sense

This is a known issue affecting some applications where the IRS Data Retrieval Tool was used. There's a specific mismatch that can occur with certain tax filing statuses or when amended returns were filed. You'll need to request that FSA manually review your application. When you call, specifically mention "IRS DRT data mismatch" and ask for a manual override of the tax information validation. They may ask you to submit additional documentation, typically a tax transcript that you can request directly from the IRS website.

PARENT PLUS LOANS ARE A TRAP!!!! Interest rates are over 7.5% and there's a 4.2% origination fee they take right off the top!!!! Try to find LITERALLY ANY OTHER WAY to pay before getting these loans. I'm $96,000 in debt from Parent PLUS and my daughter graduated 3 years ago. I'll be paying until I'm 70 years old.

same here! wish someone had told me how bad they were before i signed up. no forgiveness either 😭

Update: I finally got through to financial aid after trying that Claimyr service someone recommended here. The good news is I can still apply for the PLUS loan and there's technically no federal deadline. The bad news is our school has an internal processing deadline of 2 weeks before the end of the term for any aid to be applied to the current semester. They're going to put a temporary hold on the late fees while my application processes. Thanks everyone for your help!

Great news! Make sure you specify the correct loan period when applying (likely Fall/Spring for the full academic year) and remember you'll need to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) along with the application. The MPN is good for 10 years so you won't need to redo it each year if you need PLUS loans for future years - just the application portion.

So glad you got through! That two-week cushion before end of term is actually pretty generous compared to some schools. Good luck with everything!

Glad it worked! Side note - manually entering tax info instead of using the data transfer tool can sometimes increase your chances of being selected for verification later. If you receive a verification notice, don't panic - just respond promptly with the requested documentation.

Oh no, I hadn't considered that about manual entry! If we do get selected for verification, I'll make sure to respond quickly. Thanks for the heads up!
