Washington ESD unemployment benefits when do they get deposited weekly?
I just got approved for unemployment after waiting forever for adjudication and I'm wondering when the money actually hits my account? I filed my first weekly claim on Sunday and it's showing as processed but I don't see any deposit yet. Does Washington ESD deposit on specific days of the week or is it random? Really need to know so I can plan my bills accordingly.

Usually takes 1-2 business days after your weekly claim is processed. Most people see deposits Tuesday or Wednesday if they file Sunday night.

depends on your bank too, some banks hold deposits longer than others especially for government payments

•I have Chase, anyone know how they handle Washington ESD deposits?

Savannah Vin
•Chase usually posts them same day as other banks in my experience

I've been trying to call Washington ESD for weeks to check on my deposit timing but can never get through! The phone system is absolutely terrible. Anyone else having this problem?

•Yeah the call volume is insane. I actually found this service called Claimyr at claimyr.com that helps you get through to agents. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ showing how it works. Might be worth checking out if you really need to talk to someone.

•Never heard of that, is it legit? I'm desperate at this point

•Yeah it's real, they basically handle the calling process for you so you don't have to sit on hold forever

Make sure you check your claim status online too, sometimes there are issues that delay payment even after processing

•Good point, I'll log into my SecureAccess Washington account and double check

•True but when it works it's the fastest way to see what's happening with your claim

I get mine every Tuesday around 6am PST. Been consistent for months now. Washington ESD seems to process deposits overnight Monday into Tuesday for most people.

Are you getting the full amount you expected? Sometimes they deduct taxes or other stuff
0 coins
Nina Fitzgerald
•Yeah I elected to have taxes withheld so I'm expecting about $320 after taxes

Check if you have direct deposit set up correctly. I had mine going to an old closed account for like 2 weeks before I figured it out!

Nina Fitzgerald
•Oh no! How did you fix that?

Kiara Fisherman
•Had to update my banking info through the website and then call to get the stuck payments reissued

•That Claimyr service I mentioned earlier would be perfect for this kind of situation - they help you actually reach agents for banking issues and stuff like that

Also make sure you're filing your weekly claims on time. Late filings can delay everything even if it's just by a few hours past the deadline.

•I filed Sunday night around 8pm, should be fine right?

Jason Brewer
•Yeah that's perfect timing, Sunday is the standard day most people file

•I think the deadline is like Sunday midnight or something so you're good

The deposit schedule can also be affected by bank holidays. Was this week a holiday week?
0 coins
Nina Fitzgerald
•No holidays this week that I know of

Savannah Vin
•Ok then you should see it by Wednesday at the latest

I always get paranoid about this stuff too but in 8 months of claims I think I only had one payment that was actually delayed

For future reference, you can also check the Washington ESD website for their payment schedule calendar. Shows which days they typically process payments.

Most banks show pending deposits too if you check your account online or in their app. Sometimes you can see it's coming before it actually posts.

Pro tip: set up account alerts with your bank so you get notified the moment any deposit hits. Takes away a lot of the anxiety.

Nina Fitzgerald
•Smart idea, I'm going to do that right now

Savannah Vin
•Yeah I have alerts set up for any deposit over $100, super helpful
