If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Actually tried that Claimyr thing someone mentioned and it worked. Got through to Washington ESD in like 20 minutes instead of the usual hours of busy signals. They confirmed my benefit amount would be $456/week which matches what I calculated online.

That's reassuring to hear it actually works! I might need to use it if I run into issues.

Glad it helped you too! It's been a game changer for actually getting answers from Washington ESD.

The monetary determination letter you get after filing will show your exact benefit amount and how they calculated it. That's the official number to go by, not estimates. Usually arrives within a week of filing if there are no issues.

0 coins

Perfect, so I'll know for sure once I file and get that letter.

0 coins

Make sure your address is correct when you file so you actually receive the letter!

Bottom line is you need to have worked and earned wages since your original claim to qualify for a new one. If you haven't, you'll need to find work first before you can get benefits again.

0 coins

That makes sense. I did work some during my claim so hopefully that's enough.

The Washington ESD agent will be able to tell you definitively if your wages qualify when you call or apply.

Good luck with everything! The gap between claims is scary but you'll get through it.

Thank you everyone for all the helpful info. At least I know what to expect now.

Does anyone know if there are any special circumstances that might extend benefits beyond 26 weeks? Like if you're in a training program or something?

0 coins

There are some training programs that can extend benefits but they're pretty specific. You'd need to talk to a Washington ESD counselor about what's available.

0 coins

I tried calling to ask about training programs but couldn't get through. Ended up using Claimyr to reach an agent who gave me a list of approved programs. Much faster than trying to call myself.

0 coins

Bottom line: plan for 26 weeks maximum and hope you find work before then. Don't count on extensions or special programs unless you've confirmed you qualify for them.

0 coins

That's solid advice. Better to be conservative with my planning than get caught off guard.

0 coins

Exactly. Treat the 26 weeks as a deadline, not a guarantee.

For anyone reading this later - remember that Washington ESD payment timing can vary slightly by bank, but Tuesday night processing and Wednesday morning deposits is the standard. If you're not seeing payments by Thursday, that's when you should start investigating. And yes, that phone service people mentioned (Claimyr) is legit - I used it myself when I had payment issues.

This whole thread is going in my bookmarks. Thanks to everyone who shared their experience!

Hope your payment comes through tomorrow OP! Once you get in the rhythm of it, the Washington ESD payment schedule becomes pretty predictable. Just remember to file every Sunday and keep your job search log updated. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm feeling much more confident about the whole process now. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to help.

The benefit amount also depends on whether you're on regular unemployment or if you qualify for any extended benefits programs.

0 coins

What's the difference between regular unemployment and extended benefits?

0 coins

Extended benefits kick in during high unemployment periods and can add additional weeks to your claim, but the weekly amount stays the same.

0 coins

Bottom line: if you made decent wages in the past year, you'll probably get a reasonable benefit amount. The key is filing as soon as you're eligible and keeping up with your weekly claims.

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information! I feel much more confident about filing now.

Good luck with your claim! Just remember to document everything and stay on top of the job search requirements.
