If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone else reading this thread, the key thing is just to start filing as soon as you're approved. Don't overthink it - the questions are straightforward and you can always call if you make a mistake (though good luck getting through). The important thing is establishing the habit of filing every week.

This is good advice. I spent way too much time worrying about doing it perfectly instead of just getting started.

Same here. The first few times are nerve-wracking but then it becomes second nature.

One more Claimyr mention since people are asking about getting help - I used them when I had questions about reporting part-time work on my weekly claims. The Washington ESD agent they connected me with was really helpful and explained exactly how to report my hours. Definitely worth it if you need to talk to someone and can't get through the regular phone lines.

Good to know they can help with specific questions like that. I might need to use them for my own part-time work situation.

The regular Washington ESD phone system is basically useless, so services like this fill a real need.

One last thing - make sure you save copies of your final weekly claim confirmation and any other important documents from your claim. You might need them for tax purposes or if any questions come up later.

Great advice, I'll make sure to print out everything before I stop filing. Better safe than sorry.

Yes definitely keep records! I needed my benefit statements for a mortgage application two years later.

For anyone else reading this thread - if you need to reach Washington ESD about ending benefits or have other questions, that Claimyr service people mentioned actually works really well. I was skeptical at first but it saved me hours of trying to call myself.

How exactly does it work? Do they just call for you?

0 coins

Yeah, you give them your info and they handle all the calling and waiting in the phone queue. Then they connect you directly to a Washington ESD agent when one becomes available. Check out their demo video if you want to see how it works.

I'd recommend calling Washington ESD if you don't hear anything after 10 business days from filing. Sometimes claims get stuck and need a nudge. That's when services like Claimyr come in handy since the phone lines are always busy.

Good timeline to keep in mind. I'll give it another week and then start making calls if needed.

Update us when you get your first payment! Always nice to hear success stories and it helps other people know what timeline to expect.

Will do! Thanks everyone for all the helpful information. Feeling much more prepared now.

Pro tip: Keep detailed records of all your work hours, earnings, and job search activities. If Washington ESD ever audits your claim or asks for documentation, you'll have everything organized. I use a simple notebook to track everything weekly.

0 coins

That's smart. Do you track anything else besides hours and earnings?

0 coins

I also note down job applications, interviews, and any communication with Washington ESD. Helps me remember what I've done when filling out weekly claims.

Just to add - the rules can be different if you're on standby status with your regular employer. If you're expecting to be called back to work, the part-time work rules might be more restrictive. Worth checking with Washington ESD if that applies to your situation.

My layoff was permanent, so I think I'm on regular unemployment, not standby status.

0 coins

Sounds like regular UI then. Standby is when you have a specific return-to-work date with your previous employer.

0 coins

That's a good way to think about it. I definitely want to work full-time again, I just can't find anything right now that pays enough to make up for my lost hours.

0 coins

Exactly! That's precisely what the unemployment system is designed to help with. Good luck with your claim!
