Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. I went through this exact situation about 6 months ago. Performance termination, worried about eligibility, but I got approved without any issues. The investigation was pretty straightforward - they called my old employer and me, asked some basic questions, and made their decision within a couple weeks.
What kind of questions did they ask you during the investigation?
Basic stuff - why I thought I was terminated, whether I received warnings, if I understood the job expectations, things like that. Just be honest and straightforward.

One more tip - make sure you're checking your account regularly and responding to any requests for information immediately. Sometimes Washington ESD will send you a message asking for clarification on something, and if you don't respond quickly, your claim can get stuck in limbo for weeks.
