If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I think there's some confusion about overpayment waiver refunds. Adjudication and waiver are different processes. The pandemic overpayment waiver program is separate from regular overpayment waivers. For pandemic waivers that are approved, ESD is supposed to refund any amounts already paid. Make sure you're looking at the waiver determination letter - it should have a section called "Effects of this Decision" that mentions if you're eligible for a refund.

No there isnt any confusion!! The OP clearly said PANDEMIC waiver and yes they DO refund but they DON'T tell you when!! That's the whole problem!!

I was trying to provide additional clarification as there are different types of waivers and processes. You're right that they do refund for approved pandemic waivers. I should have been more clear in my explanation.

Update: Finally reached an ESD agent today! They confirmed the refund is in process and should arrive within 2 weeks. They're sending it as a direct deposit to the account they have on file. For anyone in a similar situation, keep checking your eServices account as that's where it will show first before the money hits your bank account. Thanks everyone for your help!

I used Claimyr after several failed attempts calling directly. It worked just like they said - I got connected to an agent within about 15 minutes. Definitely worth it for the peace of mind.

That's such great news! I'm in a similar situation waiting for my pandemic waiver refund and have been stressed about it. Hearing that you got confirmation it's being processed gives me hope. I'll definitely check out Claimyr if I need to follow up - seems like actually talking to someone makes all the difference with ESD.

Glad this thread exists, I was starting to think I was the only one having these issues with the Washington ESD website. At least now I know it's not just me.

definitely not just you, seems like a widespread problem

I've been dealing with this exact same issue! The Washington ESD website has been completely unreliable for weeks now. I tried all the browser troubleshooting steps people mentioned but nothing worked. Finally broke down and used Claimyr yesterday - got connected to an actual ESD agent in about 25 minutes and they helped me file everything over the phone. It was such a relief after days of frustration with the broken website. The small fee was totally worth avoiding all the stress and wasted time.

Final thought for OP - 6 weeks isn't great but it's unfortunately within their normal processing range. If you hit 8 weeks with no movement, that's when I'd really push for escalation through complaints or getting an agent on the phone. Hang in there, most claims do eventually get approved.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. At least now I know this is somewhat normal and have some options if it drags on much longer. Going to try that Claimyr thing if I don't see any movement by week 8.

That sounds like a reasonable plan. Hope your claim gets approved soon!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now - filed 5 weeks ago and still stuck in "Adjudication in Progress" status. Reading through everyone's experiences here is both reassuring and terrifying at the same time. It's good to know 6-8 weeks seems to be the norm, but knowing some people wait 12+ weeks is scary. I've been keeping detailed records of everything like Annabel suggested, and I think I'm going to try that Claimyr service if I don't see movement by week 8. The stress of not knowing what's happening or if there's some missing document is honestly the worst part of this whole process.

im so confused abt all this... i got a $3200 overpayment notice but mine was from PUA not regular unemployment... does anyone know if this waiver thing applies to PUA overpayments too??

0 coins

Yes, the waiver program covers all types of unemployment benefits including PUA, PEUC, EB, and regular UI. As long as the overpayment happened between March 2020 and December 2023, you can apply for the waiver.

Just wanted to add my experience for anyone else dealing with this - I had a $4,800 overpayment from early 2023 and was approved for the waiver last month. The key thing that helped my case was getting documentation from my former employer confirming that I had reported my work hours correctly to ESD, but their system miscalculated my weekly benefit amount. If you're dealing with an overpayment, definitely gather any emails, letters, or records showing that you provided accurate information but ESD made an error. Also keep records of any financial hardship - I included copies of medical bills, mortgage statements, and a letter explaining how repaying would impact my ability to cover basic needs. One tip: when you call, ask the agent to email you a confirmation that your waiver request was received and that collections are paused. Having that in writing saved me when another department tried to start garnishment proceedings anyway. Good luck everyone!

Final advice from someone who's been through this - keep filing your weekly claims, report ALL earnings accurately (gross amounts), maintain your job search activities unless told otherwise, and keep good records of everything. The partial benefit system works well if you follow the rules.

Perfect summary! Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. I feel much more confident about handling this correctly now.

Good luck with the new job! Hope it works out and leads to something full-time soon.

I went through this exact same situation last month! You definitely want to keep filing your weekly claims and report the part-time work. Washington ESD has a formula where they subtract a portion of your earnings from your weekly benefit amount, so you'll likely still get some partial benefits with a 25-hour/week job. The most important thing is to be completely transparent about your hours and gross earnings on each weekly claim. Don't worry about "messing up" your claim status - as long as you're honest about the work, the system will handle the calculations automatically. Congrats on getting the job offer!
