If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Been following this thread and wanted to add that Washington ESD's determination process is actually pretty fair. They look at the facts, not just what employers claim. Stay positive!

Thanks! This whole thread has been incredibly helpful and reassuring.

That's what these forums are for. We've all been there and it helps to know you're not alone in dealing with this stuff.

Final tip - don't take too long to file. There are time limits on unemployment claims and you want to get the process started ASAP. Even if you're nervous about it, just submit the application.

0 coins

Already submitted it yesterday after reading all these responses. Feeling much more prepared now thanks to everyone's help!

0 coins

Just wanted to add - keep copies of everything you submit. Screenshots of your application, confirmation numbers, etc. It'll help if there are any issues later.

0 coins

Smart thinking. I'll make sure to document everything as I go through the process.

The whole process really isn't as scary as it seems at first. Washington ESD has improved their system a lot over the years. Just be patient and thorough.

0 coins

That's what I'm hoping for. Thanks to everyone who took the time to help out a newbie!

expect the process to take longer than it should. washington esd is overwhelmed and understaffed. but definitely file asap - every day you wait is money lost

0 coins

if everything goes smoothly maybe 2-3 weeks. if they need to verify anything or investigate, could be 4-6 weeks or more

0 coins

That's about right. Mine took 3 weeks with no complications, but I know people who waited 2+ months.

0 coins

One last thing - keep copies of everything! Screenshot your confirmation pages, save emails, print important documents. If something goes wrong later, you'll need proof of what you submitted and when.

Thank you everyone! This has been incredibly helpful. I'm going to file first thing tomorrow morning.

Good luck! Remember it's your right to collect unemployment if you lost your job through no fault of your own. Don't feel bad about using the system - that's what it's there for.

Thanks everyone for all the advice! I'm going to apply today and make sure I mention the safety reporting situation. Feel much more confident about this now.

Good luck! Come back and let us know how it goes.

Hope everything works out for you! Remember that Claimyr option if you need to reach Washington ESD directly for any reason.

This thread should be pinned - so much good information about unemployment eligibility after being fired. Wish I had found this when I was going through my situation last year!

Agreed! Really helpful to see everyone's experiences and advice in one place.

Quick question - does the weekly benefit amount change if you're on standby status vs regular unemployment? I'm temporarily laid off but might get called back.

0 coins

Standby status has the same benefit amount, but different job search requirements. You don't have to actively look for work if you have a definite return date within 8 weeks.

0 coins

Perfect, that's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks!

0 coins

Bottom line: expect roughly 45-50% of your average weekly wage, up to the $999 maximum. It's not going to replace your full income but it's better than nothing while you're job hunting. Just make sure you're actively looking for work and reporting it properly.

This whole thread has been super helpful. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and numbers!

Agreed! Nice to see actual real-world examples instead of just the vague government explanations.
