uhhh this reminds me of when my roommate went through the same thing last yr... he kept calling and calling and it turned out they needed like one more piece of paper or something? but nobody bothered to tell him until he finally got someone on the phone. try the Claimyr thing others mentioned, my roommate didnt know about that and spent like 3 weeks just calling and getting hung up on
Just as an update based on other comments - I've seen a significant increase in identity verification holds in 2025. ESD implemented a new verification system in January, and many legitimate claims are getting caught in it. The frustrating part is that the system often doesn't notify claimants about the hold. Hopefully that's all it is in your case - relatively easy to fix once you reach someone.
I just tried the Claimyr service that others recommended and got through to ESD! You were right - there was an identity verification hold on my account that never showed up in my portal. The agent helped me upload my documents right over the phone and said my claim should start processing within 3-5 business days. Thank you everyone for your help!
Just checking back - did the weekly claim option appear for you yet? If not, I'd recommend trying both the phone approach and visiting a WorkSource center as others have suggested. Sometimes the in-person help can resolve these issues more quickly.
I once waiting 3 hole months for my hearing descision! Called and called but nobody would tell me anything. But thats because they lost my paperwork and didnt tell me! So dont be afraid to call and check if its been more then 2 weeks.
Just to follow up on my earlier comment - I wanted to add that while waiting for your decision, make sure you continue filing your weekly claims! This is absolutely critical. If you win your appeal but haven't been filing weekly claims, you won't receive benefits for those weeks even with a favorable decision.
Oh that's a great reminder - thank you! I've been filing every week even during the appeal process. The ESD website says to keep filing but it still shows me as disqualified each week, which is confusing. I guess those will get sorted out if I win?
Yes, exactly. The system will continue showing you as disqualified until the appeal decision is processed. If you win, all those weeks you've claimed while disqualified will be reviewed and paid (assuming you met all other eligibility requirements like job search activities, etc). It's a weird system but it's designed to make sure you don't miss out on any potential benefits.
I'm on week 8 of waiting for BOTH of my pending issues to be resolved so consider yourself lucky that one went away already!!! This whole system is designed to make people give up. I've called 47 times in the past month. FORTY SEVEN TIMES. And not once has a human picked up. It's absolute garbage.
UPDATE: The second pending issue just disappeared this morning! Looks like they were processed about 3 days apart. No payments showing yet but hopefully they'll come through soon. Thanks everyone for the advice and sharing your experiences!

This seems to be a widespread issue today. I work with unemployment claimants and have received multiple reports about this exact problem. ESD is aware of the login issues and their IT team is working on it. For anyone experiencing this problem: 1. Try using a different browser (Firefox or Edge seem to work better than Chrome currently) 2. Clear your browser cache and cookies 3. Try incognito/private browsing mode 4. If none of these work, you can file your weekly claim by phone using the automated system at 800-318-6022 5. If you miss the deadline due to verified technical issues, you can request a backdate for your weekly claim with good cause I've also heard from claimants that logging in very early in the morning (5-6am) or late at night (after 10pm) sometimes works better when they're having system issues.

•Thank you for this detailed response! The incognito mode suggestion worked for me. Do you know how long they expect the system issues to continue? I'm worried about next week too.

•Glad to hear incognito mode worked for you! According to the ESD technical bulletin I received this morning, they expect to have this particular issue resolved by tomorrow afternoon. However, they're planning another system maintenance this weekend (Saturday night from 11pm to Sunday 2am), so there might be additional temporary issues during that time. I always recommend filing mid-week rather than waiting until the deadline when possible.

Is anyone else having a different problem where after finally getting logged in, the "File Weekly Claim" button just doesn't appear anywhere on the dashboard? I finally got past the password reset loop using incognito mode but now I can't find where to actually file my claim!

•That usually means one of two things: either your benefit year has ended and you need to file a new claim, or there's an issue with your claim that needs addressing before you can file again. Check the "Alerts" section on your dashboard - it should tell you if there's a specific action needed. If there are no alerts, try clicking on the "Claim Summary" section, and you might find the weekly claim filing option there instead of on the main dashboard.
