If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

THE SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO MAKE US SUFFER!! I got the 'paid' status and then had to wait A FULL WEEK before the money showed up. ESD claimed they sent it, my bank said they never received it, and neither would help. I had to file a claim with the state ombudsman to get anyone to investigate. Turns out ESD had mistyped ONE DIGIT in my account number. Double-check EVERYTHING in your ESD profile. They make 'mistakes' all the time and then blame you for it!

While I understand your frustration, this isn't typical. Most direct deposit issues are resolved within 2-3 business days. If there is a problem with account information, ESD usually defaults to sending a debit card rather than losing the payment entirely. It sounds like you had an unusual case.

UNUSUAL?? Talk to anyone who's dealt with ESD for more than a month! Their error rate is INSANE. My neighbor had the EXACT SAME THING happen last month. They don't 'default' to cards - they just let payments disappear into the void and hope you don't notice!!

Just wanted to check in - did your payment arrive? It's been a couple days since your post. Hope everything worked out!

Yes! The money showed up this morning! Exactly 48 hours after the status changed to 'paid.' Thanks everyone for the reassurance and advice. Now I can finally catch up on all my bills.

One more tip: after you finally get through to someone, ask for their direct extension number. Many agents will give you their direct line if you've had an ongoing issue, which lets you bypass the main system in the future. Also, be sure to document everything - the date/time of your call, who you spoke with, and what they told you. This can be extremely helpful if you need to escalate your claim later.

UPDATE: I finally got through! I used the tips about calling at 7:58am and selecting the payment issue option. Still had to wait 67 minutes on hold, but eventually spoke with someone who was actually really helpful. My claim was stuck in ID verification (even though I uploaded all my documents weeks ago), and they were able to push it through to the next step. Thank you everyone for your help! For anyone facing the same issue, persistence is key - and those early morning calls really do make a difference.

Great news! Glad you got through. The ID verification step has been a major bottleneck since they implemented the new system in 2025. For future reference, if you ever get stuck at that step again, you can also schedule an ID verification interview through the Secure Message portal (though those appointments are usually 2-3 weeks out).

btw did anyone tell u that u need to keep doing ur job search activities even during adjudication?? u still gotta do the 3 job search things each week or they can deny u for that reason even if the discharge issue gets approved

Thanks for the reminder! Yes, I've been keeping up with my 3 job search activities each week. Actually applying to even more places now after this bad experience.

Just wanted to follow up on this thread. Based on your situation, here's what you should expect: 1. Your claim will likely enter adjudication for 2-4 weeks 2. An ESD adjudicator may call you to get your side of the story 3. They'll also contact your employer for their version 4. Since 'not a culture fit' is generally considered a non-disqualifying reason, you should be approved 5. Once approved, you'll receive all back payments for the weeks you claimed If for some reason your claim stays in adjudication for more than 4 weeks, that's when you should consider more aggressive follow-up. The documentation you've uploaded should be sufficient, but the ESD backlog can sometimes cause delays.

This timeline really helps set my expectations, thank you! I'll try to be patient during the adjudication period. I really hope the employer confirms the same reason they gave me in the letter.

Have you tried contacting your state representative? When my husband's claim was stuck for over a month, I emailed our state rep's office and they actually helped escalate the issue. Had it resolved within a week after that. Just a thought!

I hadn't even considered that option! That's a great idea - I'll look up my representative's contact info right now. Thank you!

UPDATE: I finally got through this morning! For anyone else struggling, here's what worked: I followed the advice to call right at 8:00am, but I also used a different phone than I had been using previously. Not sure if that made a difference, but I finally got into the queue instead of getting disconnected. Waited on hold for 47 minutes but eventually spoke with an agent who was actually very helpful. Turns out there was an issue with my ID verification that needed to be resolved. They're expediting my claim now and said I should see movement in the next 2-3 business days. Thank you everyone for the advice and support!

Anyone know if this delay affects standby status too? I'm on standby with my employer and worried this might mess up my return to work date somehow.

•

No, the processing delay only affects payment timing, not your standby status. Your standby end date is set separately in the system and won't be affected by payment processing times.
