If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone still having issues getting through to Washington ESD about payment problems, I second the Claimyr recommendation. Used them twice now when I needed to talk to someone about holds on my account. Way easier than the regular phone maze.

I was skeptical too but it worked exactly as advertised. They don't ask for personal info, just call you when they get an agent on the line.

0 coins

That's exactly how it worked for me too. Much better than wasting whole days trying to get through on my own.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the info! This is way more helpful than the official Washington ESD website. Now I know exactly when to expect my payments.

0 coins

Glad we could help! The official site has the info but it's buried in policy documents. Real people explaining it makes it much clearer.

Agreed! This thread answered all my questions. Wednesday deposit schedule here I come!

If anyone needs to reach Washington ESD urgently, I had success with Claimyr too. They got me through to an agent who was able to explain exactly what was holding up my claim. Worth trying if you're stuck.

How much does that service cost?

0 coins

I'd rather not discuss pricing here, but it was worth it for the peace of mind. Check their website for details.

Bottom line: 2-4 weeks is normal, longer if there are complications. Keep filing weekly claims and try to stay patient. The system works, it's just slow.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I feel much better knowing what to expect.

0 coins

been through this process twice now and the key is patience and documentation. keep records of everything, file your weekly claims religiously, and dont give up if you hit roadblocks. the system works but its slow

0 coins

Thanks for the encouragement. It's intimidating as a first-timer but sounds manageable if I stay organized.

one last thing - if you get denied for any reason, you have 30 days to appeal. dont let that deadline pass if you think the decision was wrong. appeals take time but can be successful if you have good documentation

0 coins

Hopefully I won't need to appeal but good to know there's a process for that too.

0 coins

exactly. just know your options going in so you're not scrambling later if something goes wrong

The maximum duration is 26 weeks in Washington unless extended benefits are available. Your benefit year lasts 52 weeks from when you first file, but you can only collect for 26 weeks during that year.

0 coins

Got it, so 26 weeks of benefits within a 52-week benefit year. That makes sense.

0 coins

Exactly. And if you find work and get laid off again within that benefit year, you might be able to reopen your existing claim.

Just wanted to add that if you're considering consulting or freelance work while on unemployment, make sure you report ALL income. Even small amounts can affect your weekly benefit, but you can usually still collect partial benefits.

0 coins

Good point about reporting all income. I wasn't sure how strict they were about small freelance payments.

0 coins

They're pretty strict about income reporting. Better to over-report than under-report and face potential overpayment issues later.

Does anyone know if the benefit amount calculation changes if you have dependents? I have two kids and wondering if that affects anything.

0 coins

Washington doesn't have dependent allowances for unemployment benefits. Your benefit amount is based solely on your work history and wages, not family size.

0 coins

Ok thanks, that's different from some other government programs I've dealt with.

Just filed my claim last week and was wondering about all this. Really helpful thread, thanks everyone! Now I just need to figure out the job search requirements part.

0 coins

Make sure you register with WorkSourceWA right away if you haven't already. That's required for the job search documentation.

Good tip, I'll do that today. Thanks!
