This thread is really helpful. I got an overpayment notice last month and was too scared to even open it. Now I know I should actually investigate instead of just assuming it's correct.
Been following this thread - really good info here. Washington ESD overpayment calculations are notorious for being confusing and sometimes wrong. Everyone should verify before paying.
If you need to reach Washington ESD about your claim status, seriously consider that Claimyr service others mentioned. I wasted weeks trying to get through on my own before finally using it. Would have saved me a lot of stress if I'd known about it earlier.
Bottom line: plan for 4 weeks to be safe, hope for 3 weeks, and don't panic if it takes longer. The money will come eventually as long as you keep filing your weekly claims and your claim is legitimate.
For anyone reading this later - definitely use Claimyr if you need to talk to Washington ESD and can't get through on the phone. I was skeptical at first but it really works. Saved me hours of frustration trying to reach someone about my claim status.

•I'll definitely keep that in mind. Sounds like multiple people have had good experiences with it.

•Same here - wish I'd known about services like that when I was dealing with my claim. Would have saved me hours of calling.

Just to summarize for anyone else reading - you need wages in at least 2 quarters of your base period, meet the minimum dollar amounts, and have lost your job through no fault of your own. Pretty straightforward if you've been working regularly.
