If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - make sure you understand the difference between your weekly benefit amount and your maximum benefit amount. Your weekly amount is what you get each week, but there's also a total limit on how much you can collect overall.

0 coins

It should be listed in your initial determination letter, or you can see it when you log into your Washington ESD account online.

In Washington you can collect up to 26 weeks of benefits typically, but it depends on your base period wages.

0 coins

Bottom line - you get paid weekly as long as you file your weekly claims on time and don't have any issues. It's not as complicated as it seems at first, just takes some getting used to.

Appreciate all the responses. This community is really helpful for figuring out the Washington ESD system.

glad we could help! we've all been there

The good news is that Washington has some of the better unemployment benefits in the country. Max weekly benefit is around $844 and you can collect for up to 26 weeks in most cases.

How do they calculate how much you get? Is it based on your last job's salary?

0 coins

It's based on your wages during the base period, usually your highest quarter. They have a formula but it's roughly half your average weekly wage, up to the maximum.

Just went through this whole process myself. The waiting is the worst part, but if it was a legitimate layoff you should be fine. Keep checking your account on the Washington ESD website for updates.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Feeling much better about filing now.

0 coins

You got this! The layoff documentation makes everything much easier than other types of claims.

I used Claimyr when I needed to check on my appeal status and couldn't get through the regular phone lines. Really helpful service for getting connected to actual humans at Washington ESD.

0 coins

I might try that if I can't get through on my own. The phone system is definitely frustrating.

UPDATE: I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped. I filed my appeal yesterday and included all the documentation you suggested. Feeling more confident about my chances now!

Great job getting it filed! Now just wait for the hearing notice and keep documenting everything. You've got this!

0 coins

Awesome! Make sure you keep filing those weekly claims while you wait. Good luck with your hearing!

Just remember that even after approval, your first payment might be less than expected because of the waiting week. Washington has a one-week waiting period that doesn't get paid unless you stay on benefits for a certain amount of time.

0 coins

Yes, the first week of your claim is an unpaid waiting week. You can potentially get it paid later if you remain eligible for several weeks, but initially it's unpaid.

Good to know so I can budget accordingly. Thanks for the heads up.

Hang in there - the waiting is definitely the hardest part but once everything gets rolling it becomes pretty routine. File your weeklies on time and you should be good to go.

Appreciate the encouragement. This whole situation is stressful but all these responses have been really helpful.

That's what these forums are for! We've all been there and understand the stress. It does get easier once you're in the system.

Make sure you're also registering with WorkSource if you haven't already. That's a requirement in Washington and could delay your benefits if you don't do it.

0 coins

I did register with WorkSource when I filed my claim. Do I need to do anything else with them?

0 coins

You'll need to complete your WorkSource activities and maintain an active job search. Keep good records of your search activities in case they audit your claim.

The waiting game is brutal but try not to stress too much at the two week mark. Most straightforward claims get processed within 3-4 weeks total.

0 coins

Thanks for the reassurance. I'll try to stay patient for at least another week or two before I start panicking.

0 coins

Smart approach. Just keep doing your weekly claims and job search requirements in the meantime.
