Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Based on your salary, you're probably looking at around $450-480 per week if you qualify. That's before taxes though - they do withhold federal taxes if you elect for it.
They take taxes out of unemployment benefits? I didn't know that.
It's optional but recommended. Otherwise you'll owe taxes on the benefits when you file your return next year.

One more thing - if you get a job offer while you're collecting unemployment, you're supposed to stop filing claims starting the week you begin work. Don't try to double dip or you could get in trouble for overpayment.
Yes, but you have to report all earnings on your weekly claim and they'll adjust your benefit amount accordingly.
That's good to know in case I can only find part-time work initially.

Just wanted to add that even if you're not sure if you qualify for benefits, it's still worth filing. Let Washington ESD make the determination rather than assuming you don't qualify. I thought I wouldn't qualify because of my reason for leaving but ended up getting approved.

Exactly! The worst they can say is no, but you might be surprised at what qualifies.
Final piece of advice - if you run into any issues with your claim or need to speak with someone at Washington ESD, don't give up on trying to reach them. The phone system is frustrating but persistence pays off. Or use one of those callback services like someone mentioned earlier if you can't get through on your own.

The 'movement from point' language is probably just standard administrative terminology. Government agencies love their jargon. Main thing is you got the increase and your claim is active.
True! I was probably overthinking it. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something important.

Thanks everyone for all the help! This gives me a much better idea of what to expect. I'll file my claim this week and see how close the actual amount is to these estimates.

Good luck with your claim! Don't get discouraged if it takes a few weeks to get your first payment - the system is slow but it does work eventually.
