If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The whole system is set up to discourage people from quitting and claiming benefits. Even with legitimate good cause, expect to fight for it and be prepared with tons of documentation.

So true. I had a slam dunk case with my supervisor sexually harassing me and it still took 6 weeks and an appeal to get approved.

0 coins

That's awful but unfortunately not surprising. Washington ESD seems to assume everyone is trying to game the system.

Final thought - if you do quit and file for unemployment, be completely honest in your application about why you quit. Trying to hide it or be vague will just make things worse when they investigate.

0 coins

That makes sense. Transparency is probably better than trying to avoid the topic.

0 coins

Exactly. They're going to find out anyway when they contact your employer, so you might as well control the narrative from the start.

0 coins

Bottom line - file your claim today. The worst thing that can happen is they say no, but you won't know unless you try. Don't let fear or embarrassment keep you from getting benefits you might be entitled to.

You're absolutely right. I'm going to file online tonight. Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement!

Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes. This thread will probably help other people in similar situations.

Also remember that even if you get approved, there's a one-week waiting period before benefits start. So file as soon as possible to get that clock ticking.

0 coins

Thanks for reminding me about the waiting week. Every day I delay is costing me money.

this whole thread is making me anxious about my own benefits running out soon. guess we're all in the same boat

0 coins

Unfortunately yeah. At least we can share information and support each other.

0 coins

That's what these forums are for - helping each other navigate this mess.

Final thought - even if you can't get an extension, make sure you apply for any other benefits you might qualify for before your unemployment ends. The transition period is always rough.

Thanks everyone for all the advice and reality checks. Time to make some moves.

Good luck! Keep us posted on how it goes.

Just want to add that if you're union, check with your rep too. Sometimes there are additional protections or benefits available during layoffs.

0 coins

Not union but good advice for others reading this.

0 coins

Yeah union members sometimes get supplemental unemployment benefits that extend beyond regular UI.

0 coins

Bottom line - with 14 months of work history you should be fine to qualify. The bigger issue will be making sure you file correctly and navigate the weekly claims process smoothly.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the helpful info. Feel much more prepared now if layoffs do happen.

0 coins

Good luck! Hopefully you won't need any of this information but it's smart to be prepared.

Also don't forget that if you worked for multiple employers during your base period, Washington ESD will combine all those wages to calculate your benefit. So gather information from all your jobs during that timeframe.

0 coins

Fortunately I was with the same company for the whole base period, so that should simplify things.

0 coins

Washington ESD usually processes straightforward claims pretty quickly. If your employer doesn't contest it and your wages are clear, you should have your first payment within 2-3 weeks of filing.

Perfect timing for this information. Filing my claim tomorrow morning. Thanks again everyone!
