If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

For anyone reading this later - remember that Washington ESD payment timing can vary slightly by bank, but Tuesday night processing and Wednesday morning deposits is the standard. If you're not seeing payments by Thursday, that's when you should start investigating. And yes, that phone service people mentioned (Claimyr) is legit - I used it myself when I had payment issues.

This whole thread is going in my bookmarks. Thanks to everyone who shared their experience!

Hope your payment comes through tomorrow OP! Once you get in the rhythm of it, the Washington ESD payment schedule becomes pretty predictable. Just remember to file every Sunday and keep your job search log updated. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm feeling much more confident about the whole process now. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to help.

This whole conversation makes me grateful I never had to deal with unemployment. Sounds like a nightmare to navigate even when you legitimately need help.

It's really not that bad once you understand the system. The hard part is just getting accurate information upfront.

0 coins

Fair enough. Seems like this thread covered most of the important stuff pretty well.

Last thought - keep copies of everything! Pay stubs, termination letters, any communication with employers. You never know what documentation they might ask for during the process.

0 coins

Great advice! I'll start gathering all that stuff before I apply.

Smart move. Being prepared makes everything go much smoother.

One more thing to keep in mind - if you have an appeal or adjudication issue that delays your benefits, it doesn't extend your 26 week maximum. The clock starts ticking from when you first file, not when you start receiving payments.

0 coins

Unfortunately no, the 26 week maximum is based on your claim effective date. This is why it's important to file as soon as possible after losing your job and to respond quickly to any requests from Washington ESD.

0 coins

This happened to my neighbor - his claim took 8 weeks to resolve due to adjudication and he lost those weeks from his total benefit period. Really frustrating.

Had to use that Claimyr service myself when I couldn't get answers about my benefit duration. Worth every penny to actually talk to someone at Washington ESD who could explain my specific situation instead of guessing based on forum posts.

Seems like a lot of people are mentioning this service. I might have to look into it if I can't get through to Washington ESD myself.

Honestly after weeks of failed phone calls, it was such a relief to finally get real answers about my claim. The agent was able to tell me exactly how many weeks I had left and what my job search requirements were.

One more tip - if you think there's an error in your wage records or calculation, don't wait to address it. There are time limits on when you can request corrections, and it's much easier to fix early in your claim than later.

0 coins

Good point. I think my calculation is correct now that I understand the formula, but I'll double-check my wage records to make sure everything is accurate.

0 coins

thanks everyone for explaining this so clearly. the washington esd website really needs to have better examples and explanations for regular people to understand

0 coins

Agreed! A simple calculator tool where you could input your quarterly wages and see the calculation would be so helpful.

0 coins

That's actually a great idea. Until they do that though, at least we have threads like this and services like Claimyr to help people get the answers they need from ESD directly.

The 26 week limit definitely motivates you to take job searching seriously from day one. I treated it like a full-time job and was able to find something by week 18. Don't waste those early weeks being too selective!

0 coins

Congratulations on finding work! That's encouraging to hear. I'm definitely treating the job search as my main priority right now.

0 coins

Thanks! The key was applying broadly and following up consistently. Don't get discouraged by rejections - something will eventually stick.

For anyone still confused about benefit duration or having trouble getting answers from Washington ESD, I used Claimyr recently and it was worth it. They helped me get through to an agent who explained exactly how my 26 weeks were calculated and when they'd end. Sometimes you just need to talk to a real person to understand your specific situation.

Seems like several people have had success with that service. Good to know it's an option if I need direct answers from Washington ESD.

0 coins

Yeah, especially for complex situations where the online information isn't clear enough. Having a direct conversation with an ESD representative made all the difference for me.
