PA UC automated callback system not calling at scheduled time - is this normal?
Got the text saying I'd receive a call from PA UC in 2 minutes at 12:51pm, but no one ever called! It's been 45 minutes now. Is this normal with their callback system? Should I just continue waiting or try something else? This is my third attempt trying to reach someone about my claim status. Getting really frustrated since I have an open issue that's been holding up my payments for 3 weeks now.

•This is so frustrating!! Do they eventually call back or should I start the whole process over again tomorrow?

The callback system has been overwhelmed lately. In my experience, they sometimes call up to 2-3 hours after the scheduled time. I'd recommend waiting until the end of the business day before giving up. Also make sure your phone isn't blocking unknown numbers - their calls often come from different numbers that might get filtered.

•Thanks for this info! I'll keep my phone nearby for the rest of the day. Really hope they call because this open issue is preventing me from getting any benefits.

I had this EXACT same thing happen last month!!! Waited all day and nobody called. The next day I got a message saying I missed their call even though my phone never rang! THE SYSTEM IS RIGGED AGAINST US!!

•This happened to me too, but I discovered the UC office was calling from a restricted number that my phone was automatically sending to voicemail. Check your phone settings - you might need to temporarily allow calls from unknown/private numbers.

I stopped waiting for callbacks after trying for 3 weeks straight. I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) and got through to an agent in about 30 minutes instead of waiting for callbacks that never happened. You can see how it works here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 - it saved me so much stress with my open issue situation since I needed to get it resolved before rent was due.

•Never heard of that before. Did they actually help resolve your issue? I'm desperate at this point, so I'll try anything that actually works.

•Yes, they got me connected to a real PA UC agent who fixed my open issue right on the call. The service just helps you get through the phone system. Once you're connected, you're talking directly with the same UC agents you'd reach through the regular system (if you could get through).

As someone who's been through the PA UC system multiple times, here's what you need to know about their callback system: 1. The estimated callback times are very approximate 2. They may call up to 4 hours after the scheduled time 3. If they're overloaded, some callbacks get pushed to the next day 4. They'll attempt to call twice if you miss the first one 5. The caller ID usually shows as "Unknown" or "No Caller ID" If you have an open issue that's been holding up payments for 3 weeks, I'd recommend trying to call them directly first thing tomorrow morning (7:30am sharp). That's usually when the lines are least busy.

•Thank you for this detailed explanation! I'll definitely try calling at 7:30am tomorrow. Should I still be expecting a callback today or just give up on that?

•I'd keep your phone nearby until about 5pm just in case, but definitely have a backup plan to try calling early tomorrow. Open issues typically need to be resolved by speaking directly with a claims examiner, and the sooner you connect with someone, the faster your payments can be processed.

UPDATE: They finally called at 4:32pm! Almost 4 hours after the scheduled time. The agent was actually really helpful and fixed the open issue right away. For anyone with similar problems - don't give up, and keep your phone nearby all day even if they miss the scheduled time. Thanks everyone for the advice!

•@helper923 yes! Turns out there was a discrepancy between the wages I reported and what my employer reported for my last quarter. The agent verified my information and approved the claim on the spot. She said I should receive payment within 3 business days. Such a relief after weeks of stress!

•So happy to hear this worked out for you! This gives me hope for my own situation. I've been dealing with a similar wage discrepancy issue for 2 weeks now. Did you have to provide any additional documentation during the call, or were they able to resolve it just by talking through the details?

•@Isabel Vega I just had to verbally confirm the wage amounts and dates over the phone. The agent was able to see my employer s'report in their system and compare it with what I had originally entered. She corrected it right there without needing me to fax or upload any documents. Hopefully your call goes just as smoothly!
