New York Unemployment keeps hanging up saying line is busy - need help getting through
Called ny unemployment like 50 times today. Each time I call, the automated system just hangs up saying all lines are busy. Really frustrated and need to speak with someone about my claim. Anyone know what time to call or any tricks to get through? Bills are piling up and I cant wait anymore.

Try calling right at 7:55am. Thats when the lines open. But you gotta be super quick with the prompts cause everyone else is doing the same thing

I found a way to get through! Used this service called claimyr.com that calls and waits on hold for you. Yeah it costs $20 but totally worth it cause they got me through to an agent. Here's a video about how it works: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

DETAILED GUIDE FOR GETTING THROUGH TO NY UNEMPLOYMENT: After months of dealing with this, here's what I've learned: 1. Regular phone method is basically impossible now 2. You can try their online message system but takes forever 3. Best solution I found was using claimyr.com - they handle the calling/waiting 4. Have your claim info ready when agent connects 5. Be super nice to the agents, they're dealing with tons of angry people Hope this helps someone else stuck in this mess!

try calling from a different phone number. sometimes they block numbers that call too much

I feel your pain! Been in the same situation for weeks. What worked for me was using an auto-dialer app that keeps calling and hangs up when it gets the busy signal, then immediately redials. Saved my sanity from having to manually redial hundreds of times. Also try calling the Spanish line (718-724-3637) - sometimes less busy and they can transfer you to English speaking agents. Don't give up, you'll eventually get through!

•Thanks for the Spanish line tip! Never thought of trying that. What auto-dialer app did you use? I've been doing this manually and it's driving me crazy 😩

•@Henry Delgado which auto-dialer app specifically? there s'so many sketchy ones on the app store. need something reliable that actually works with NY unemployment s'system

•@Henry Delgado that Spanish line tip is genius! Just tried it and actually got through to someone who transferred me to English. Still had to wait 45 minutes but way better than getting hung up on immediately. You re'a lifesaver! 🙏

•@Henry Delgado yo that Spanish line trick actually worked! Got through in like 20 minutes instead of getting the busy signal all day. They transferred me to English no problem. You just saved me so much stress, thank you!! 🙌

Ugh I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Been calling for over a week and getting that stupid busy signal every single time. It's so frustrating when you desperately need to talk to someone about your claim and they make it literally impossible to get through. The system is completely broken. I'm definitely going to try that Spanish line trick that Henry mentioned - never would have thought of that! Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences, at least I know I'm not the only one dealing with this nightmare 😤
