Does NYS Department of Labor drug test for unemployment benefits?
I'm about to file for unemployment after getting laid off from my warehouse job and I'm wondering if NYS Department of Labor does drug testing as part of the application process? I've heard conflicting information from friends. Some say they test everyone, others say they only test if you're in certain job training programs. Can anyone clarify what the actual policy is?
