What time does SBTPG open? Different time zone question (Mississippi)

I need to contact SBTPG about my tax refund processing but I'm in Mississippi and they're based elsewhere. Does anyone know their operating hours in Central time? I'm an independent contractor and need my refund to cover upcoming quarterly estimated payments. I've already waited 3 days for them to process my refund and I'm not waiting any longer without answers.

SBTPG customer service hours are 8am-5pm Pacific Time, which translates to 10am-7pm in Central Time (Mississippi). Their Technical Support operates 5am-5pm PT, so that's 7am-7pm CT for you. Ensure you have your TPG account number and filing details ready when calling for expedited assistance.

Thx for the info! Do they have diff hours during tax season vs off-season? Wondering if they extend hours during busy periods.

But aren't they supposed to automatically process refunds within 24-48 hours after IRS deposit? Why are so many of us waiting longer than that this year? Isn't there a faster way to get answers than waiting until their office opens?

Are you tracking your refund through the SBTPG website portal? According to their Terms of Service (Section 4.2), they typically process refunds within 1-2 business days after receiving funds from the IRS. However, weekends and bank holidays are excluded from this processing timeframe per their published guidelines.

I've been checking their portal religiously. The status shows: • IRS refund received: Yes • Processing status: In progress • Estimated completion: No date provided I filed through TurboTax and selected the refund transfer option. Just concerned because I need to make my Q2 estimated payment next week.

Have you tried reaching out through their online messaging system? Sometimes that's faster than waiting on hold... though "faster" with SBTPG is like saying a turtle is faster than a snail, lol. But seriously, hope you get your money soon!

Last year when this happened to me, it turned out my bank had placed a hold on the deposit. Might be worth checking with your bank too while you're waiting to contact SBTPG.

Been through this exact situation last tax season. Waited on hold with SBTPG for over 2 hours multiple days. Finally used Claimyr (https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c) to get through quickly. Turns out they had flagged my refund for additional verification because the amount was over $10,000. The agent expedited it once I got through. Saved me days of frustration and got my money released within hours after the call.

I'm not familiar with SBTPG's internal processes... does anyone know if there's a difference between how they handle direct deposits versus check refunds? I'm wondering if one method might be processed more quickly than the other.

After dealing with them for three tax seasons, I can tell you direct deposit is definitely faster. Checks can add 5-7 business days to the process. And if you're using the refund transfer service where they deduct fees first, that adds another day or two compared to direct IRS deposit. So frustrating but that's how it works.

SBTPG is in California. They're on Pacific time. Two hours behind Central. Their customer service opens at 10am your time. They close at 7pm your time. I've dealt with them before. The wait is normal. Three business days isn't unusual.

Here's how SBTPG typically processes refunds: 1. IRS deposits your refund to SBTPG 2. SBTPG verifies the deposit matches expected amount 3. They deduct any authorized fees (tax prep, advances, etc.) 4. They initiate transfer to your personal account 5. Your bank processes the incoming transfer Each step can take 24-48 hours, with steps 1-3 happening on SBTPG's side. The entire process typically takes 2-5 business days from when the IRS releases your refund.

Waiting for SBTPG is like watching paint dry while someone keeps adding more wet paint! Does anyone know if calling right when they open is better than mid-day? I've heard their hold times are ridiculous no matter when you call.
