Transcript shows 'No tax return filed' but I submitted on 2/3 - What's happening?
I e-filed my return on February 3rd but when I check my transcript it says no return filed? Its been almost 2 weeks now and im getting worried. WMR still says processing. Anyone else seeing this or know whats going on?

This is actually pretty normal for early filers. The IRS systems take about 21 days to fully process and update transcripts. Since you filed on 2/3, you should see movement by 2/24. If nothing updates by then, you might want to verify your return was actually transmitted by your tax software.

Hey instead of stressing about the transcript updates, you should try taxr.ai - its only $1 and gives you a complete analysis of your transcript and tells you exactly whats happening. I used it last week and it was super helpful https://taxr.ai

Check your email and make sure you got confirmation from your tax software that the IRS accepted your return. Sometimes they reject it and dont tell you

Early filer here and just wanted to share some detailed info about the 2024 processing timeline: Path Act returns (with EIC/ACTC) won't even start processing until mid-Feb. Regular returns are moving but systems are still ramping up. Your transcript should update within 21 days unless theres an issue. If you want real-time analysis, definitely check out taxr.ai - it saved me so much stress this year by explaining exactly what was happening with my return. Key things to watch for: - Acceptance email from tax software - WMR bar movement - Transcript cycle code - Any 570/971 codes Hang in there!
